Sounds like the lumalight thing they use in CSI to detect blood and body fluids. Guessing you could use this on the beds in Travelodge next time you go.

If you think you have a mice pest problem, and cant see droppings, you could possibly use
this to detect their preferred pathways as not having bladder control they pee all the time as they go.
Lovely thought.

And you can tell which direction they are headed as the drops get smaller as they go!

Yes just a cheap uv torch. So good for security marked items at home. Also recall it is apparently the sort of thing you are wary of taking to hotels like Travel Lodge , because you really don't want to see what they got away with not changing after last guests !

Unless you doooooooo. My and my lady friend (yeah! like that'll happen) like to roleplay detective and go to Travel lodges and Holiday Inns and I go in and do all the swooshing around with the "Jazz-Torch" and stick post it notes with numbers on next to ever suspicious speck in the room. Then when I'm fed up I shout "Get out!! Your're contaminating a murder scene!" and make her sleep outside on the pavement until I've eaten all the Matchmakers that we bring that are pretend DNA mouth swabs. Then I shout out of a window I can only open about 75mm (3/4 of an inch in detective units) "Hey, Miller! You going to stay out there all night?" And she shouts up "Are there any DNA swabs left?" and I say "No!" and she tells me to fu....

I had a pet pea once. But it ran away. It was an escape-pea.
Actually I think these would be great for tracking down my nan when she's had one of her episodes and gone missing. The "Just follow your nose" tactic doesn't work any more since we put her in that home.
