Many thanks. Was gonna drive 40 mins to my nearest Smyths tomorrow morning hoping to get the Switch and MK8 for £309.99. Using your codes I’ve grabbed both for £294.98 in total and I save on petrol money and time.

I asked them this morning and it was put on the wrong van. I can see it going missing. They said they will resend if not arrived by tomorrow but guess that depends on stock :-(

They attempted delivery yesterday but back out for delivery today, hoping it comes just after the F1. The last time I had the external factors thing, then it turned out the courier had lost the item and amazon twiddled their fingers until a few days had passed. Hope this isn't the case for you.

Has anyone received it yet? Mine was meant to arrive yesterday but early hours of this morning I had notification there is a delay and when I check tracking it says a delay due to external factors? Any ideas what that means? And delivery expected by 4 may now yet tracking shows it was on the van yesterday

Cool. Here's my mate Dave the Elephant- I've done a picture, so it's totally true.
You'll notice he's the same colour as the grey Switch you bought a couple of months ago & returned (then exchanged for the neon one in your picture, it seems)
beefkr10z
29 Apr 17#82
That's good. I'd hate to know that your IMAGINARY Switch was suffering from things that 99.9% of ACTUAL Switch owners weren't experiencing.
Yeah but I didn't wait cause 1. my Wii U died and I wanted to play Zelda and 2. I could get £40 off, I'm getting a replacement today, if that's the same then I'll get a refund.
bmouthboyo
29 Apr 17#80
was the same mate but glad I got it, zelda is epic. Also as I am a pc gamer mainly now I like how the Nintendo games fill a space that does not overlap, unlike ps4 and xbox one where all the games are the same as PC mostly.

29 Apr 171#79
I'm surprised you bought one. It was only two months ago you said that you were going to wait three years...
...but then again, you also said a screen protector was unnecessary, so shame about your scratched screen...
If I was a pessimistic person, I'd say that you're just Jumping into any Switch deal that gets posted and listing a lot of made-up faults- but I bet you never actually bought one...
(oh, and did you get the pro controller for £30? That's the most you said you'd pay for one)
dealhunter1233
28 Apr 17#78
If you're talking about the scratch-prone screen then I'm just going to get a screen protector. The £9 from Orzly seems pretty good, doesn't scratch even after taking a knife to it so should be fine with the dock.
slannmage
28 Apr 17#77
Yeah the first day with mine and the screen is scratched thanx to the dock. I slid the thing in and all I felt and heard was like if you scraped a knife slowly on plastic. I took it out and it's scratched.... wtf? I'm taking it back tomorrow as that should not be the case.
Also the controllers are so loose when you slide them into the unit, the slightest tap from below and they come off and the unit falls out. I don't like how loud the fan is either, you hear it making this clicking noise, you only hear it in a dead quiet room, but it's annoying.
At least the Pro controller is nice, shame it has no analogue triggers.
+ I recommend everyone buy digital only, the door you have to open to slide the cards in is only held on by thin plastic, that'll be the thing broken off on all used units on eBay, just like the doors on the Wii.

Yep. Not going near this until the hardware bugs are addressed. They are pretty serious and will continue to be an issue long after the warranty expires.

You'll often see new Amazon Marketplace sellers heavily undercutting films, books etc. The intent is for other sellers with automated price matching to beat the deal by 1p. I imagine the £200 Swich "seller" is just trying to get one for £200 themselves.

The Neon looks better in person than the Grey, but also you can always just buy Grey Joycon, but you cannot buy the Neon as Nintendo switched the colours around for the stand alone Joycon.

Same "problem" got a giftcard for 40gbp I could get it for 219.99 (after the code for 20 off and 40 next from gift card) .... is it worth it to wait?? :/ Badly want to play MK 8 Deluxe...

28 Apr 172#51
Like all things Nintendo this has had a massive sold out clamour for it and now will come the drop off as casuals simply aren't interested in it. Just look at home much space it even gets in supermarkets and places like Smyths....next to zero. My local Tesco has given it literally 4 games boxes worth of space. There's only Zelda and some other party rubbish for sale anyway. This is only recently after launch. It'll be done by the end of the year.
The last time Nintendo ruled the world was the SNES. Everything after has been a misstep, be it n64 using cartridges, gamecube not playing DVDs, Wii being for parents to put in a cupboard after xmas and the Wii U just being crap and out of date on launch.
£260 was my biting point so I've joined the ranks too...

Not 100% sure on this but I think if there is any kind of queue in place on a amazon order then adjusting payment method puts you at the back of the queue anyway.
Just what I heard when I was ordering a gtx 1070.
