Is it possible somehow to specify that in a group some are children? Or is it not '2 for 1' for children prices as well?

It looks like it's one person pays full adult price and other person is free - so a child or adult would be free.

when does this end? I'm wondering if June will be ok?

This has been running continuously for several years, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was still running in June

Yes, it's been running for years, but good to be reminded as off to London this month. Thanks OP.

I've done this for years. There is a tourist attraction where I live so I buy two train tickets for £1.50 each and get in half price. saves me about £30 all in all.

How and where can I obtain these £1.50 tickets each please? Travelling to London soon with friends from abroad and this would really be helpful. Have googled but am a bit confused!
Thanks in advance for any advice! M

Does the ticket you show have to have a destination anywhere near the attraction? For example i have a monthly ticket for my commute here in Manchester, could i use the discount in London? Can't see anything detailing it on the site.

I used the megabus/megatrain tickets we received when we went to London. Used the vouchers everywhere and must of easily saved £300+ on various attractions. Even though the tickets you received stated zero paid they still accepted them

Been using this for years and it is a fantastic deal. Somewhere on here it tells you about which tickets are valid and what destinations need to be displayed. If you want to use it in London you will need a London terminus on the destination. You can by local tickets though like Peckham rye to London Bridge for very little money and use the 2for1. https://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/faqs

Sorry to sound stupid but we are travelling to London on Virgin trains in June, is this classed as National rail as we have E tickets.? Thanks
jonnyjackov to willogs

Yes, Virgin tickets are fine. Just show your e-ticket (or m-ticket as they call it).

careful though, went to visit York Minster as this offer was advertised online, only to be told at the door "they had stopped doing it a few months earlier" so as the family were already there cost us £62 to visit a posh church...

What would be the cheapest way to go to London Zoo on a weekedn? 2 adults 2 children? I can drive to London and park on side streets.
I also have £10 in tesco voucher which can be boosted to £40, would I be able to use these to make it even cheaper?
Much appreciate any help.

I have never used this before but i have been lookin at it for a while since going to london next month. I finally decided to go for it however im really confused at what to do. since when i follow the link to book it says adult+16 including 1 free adult, there is no option for children. Would i just book two adults? If so then i guess the tesco option works out cheaper at £50

Be warned - not always accepted. I tried to use these vouchers at Easter for the Tower of London. When we arrived there was a sign to say the vouchers were not valid. I was told by staff "Because it's the Easter holidays". I was not impressed!

You just buy a ticket that is for a station closest to the one for the attraction. You don't actually have to use the ticket to make the 2for1 offer valid, you just have to show you have one. I just buy it and never use it as I live right near the attraction I go to and don't need to use the train. For example, if you the attraction is in Bristol then buy a ticket from Bedminster to Bristol Temple Meads.

To see if any restriction on dates: Go to the offer, click on 'Search UK Days Out'. Then click on 'Learn More' on the day out you want. Scroll down and click on 'Show More Info' where you will see if any restriction. On most of the major attractions the offer is not available during school holidays. Hot deal though OP thanks for posting.

Anyone know if/how this works if you have a travel pass (my bus pass includes trains locally)?
Saved me an absolute fortune last time I went to London this! Don't forget also, if you've got a railcard, you can apply your discount to your oyster card at the train stations, makes the credit last a bit longer

Do under 5's need to present a train ticket when using 2 for 1? Merlin attractions charge from the age of 3 or 4.
