Had this on my price watch list for a month or two now - dropped to below my £50 limit so thought there would be a few other hotukdeals Moto Z owners who wold be looking too  Not sure who is price matching who but same price at John Lewis and Amazon - JL say they offer a 2 year warranty with it, but not sure if that would be honoring that with battery wear.

The Moto Mods page on the Moto UK site quotes battery size of 2200mAh. One of the sites talking about it at CES2017 quoted $50. So that will be £49.95. Doesn't look like it is wireless charging though which is a disappointment. They are launching a wireless styleshell back but it won't be a power pack.

on the Moto website says 50% more battery which is 1300mah and because the app got updated to support it I concluded that it should be out very soon and being Moto made with less capacity the price should be better. Hoping for £30 but let's see.

Where did you get info on this new one?
I can find no mention anywhere considering you say a couple of days

Just waiting for someone to create a HDMI out mod.
Can't understand why Lenovo failed to make the usb-C capable of HDMI output.
Maybe they wanted to sell more projector mods.

You can have them all ... at a price! The Incipio wireless charger mod has the full 2200 mAh extra battery and wireless charging but is around £80 and not that available in the UK. Personally, I can live with the 1300mAh if that is what the Motorola one is and price is reasonable. Won't add much to phone thickness. Agree pulling phone out of a case is a pain when you want to use a mod but flipping the magnetic back off and mod on is a breeze.

But I want all of these things at once! I don't wanna keep switching the back off. Is it too much to ask?

not too much to ask, if you want a brick

I also doubt the £30 price. Thought I read closer to £45-£50 somewhere. If it is only 1300mAh, it should be somewhat less than the Incipio I agree but I understand it is also wireless charging compatible (which is my interest) and that pushes the price back up.
So two thirds ish of the charge of the Incipio made up for by wireless charging. Sounds like £45-£50 to me. And Moto won't want to undercut Incipio / Tumi if they want these guys to stay with the mods programme in the future.

I doubt the price to be £30 considering pricing of all other mods. Any sources?

Not sure i get the point....Why not just buy a phone with better battery life in the first place....?
yeah I know the Moto Z is a nice thin phone hence the weak battery but strapping one of these to the Moto z defeats the object surely?

I'm getting 3-5 SOT so the battery is surprisingly good for it's capacity really.
To the mod itself, the Mod Mods app just got updated to support the new Moto Power Pack which will supposedly have 1300mAh and I expect to be no more than £30 so you better hold on for a couple of days.

If thinking just the battery mods, I agree. But presumably a lot of people buying this phone are interested in the other mods. The JBL speaker is really good, for example.
The best of both is maybe the Moto Z Play which does have a much bigger battery, still does the mods, just not as high-end a processor (and still has the 3.5 headphone jack)!

I'm gonna hold out, I reckon a couple of Chinese sellers will do a copy soon enough for £15. £25 is the max I would pay for the genuine article
