These are the older style without the charge indicator but the main thing is they are genuine - just bought 2 to replace ones that have failed (all over 10 years old!)
Edit - Now £69 for 2 at Amazon (Prime only and not currently in stock)
Indeed, I'd recommend picking up a 1.5 or 2.0 too as they are lighter - good on drills, impact drivers, sanders etc.

OP. The old ones almost always have only one damaged pair of cells. You could use one of the packs to repair the old one. This will leave you a few spares too. Alternatively you could buy 20 high capacity 18650's and replace all the batteries in both old packs. This would give you two 5.2Ah batteries for about £45 (Using Samsung ICR18650 cells)
Disclaimer: The cells can be dangerous if damaged or shorted while changing out.

Yeah thanks for that and I now have 3 dead but the problem is you also need to replace the controller board as all 3 have been tried 3 times and have the red and green flashing lights... tbh I'm hanging onto them for now but they are all 10 years old so might just right them off / give them away.

If you want to just chuck it on the charger and forget then you will need to replace the board (last time I looked the 3rd party ones were about £6). If not you can bypass the charge controller by soldering a wire between 2 pads on the PCB but you loose the charge controlling aspect. This means when its run down you need to check the pack with a multi-meter and work out the charge time yourself. Using a wall timer for your charger makes this safe.
Its all a bit ghetto and a bit of a faff so not for everybody.
