Instead of relying on assumption that something that doesn't walk and quack like a duck therefore contains no duck, Amazon says that it's suitable for vegetarians.
It's hardly a freemason's secret code that plenty of foods and beverages that seem meat-free actually do contain animal products (e.g. organs and connective tissue or derivatives from such) including certain beers, chocolate bars, breakfast cereals, fizzy drinks and jelly sweets.
