How did you get the V20? I am thinking of getting one, used to use a big phone. My next option would be S8 plus but very expensive...

I think the pricing makes sense as the Snapdragon 835 does not hold any real life improvement over the 821 and all that matters is the OS and the hardware. If you have seen the drop tests of the LG, you will be amazed at how good the phone is.
So gets the heat from me over the S8 which will surely big down in a few months due to the software.

I had a G2 and have a G4 now - I love them both (and I've had Samsung and Apple flagships from work to compare them to). But i'd never pay this much for any LG phone, as in 6 months time they'll be free on £20/month contract deals like all their predecessors.

It looks a great phone but the RRP is chucklesome. May finally upgrade from my G2 once I've demoed one.

yes LG is facing class action lawsuit on all flagship released since 2014 with the dreaded boot loops(this inlcude the G4 V10 and also to an extent G5 and V20) .

I work as an IT refurbisher, the LG G4 has a known CPU fault, there are later batches of the phones which shouldn't be affected. I'm not aware of any issues with the LG G5 yet. The iPhone 6 Plus has a touch IC fault on the mainboard, which was corrected on the iPhone 6 Plus where the touch IC was moved to the screen, Apple know about it but you'll have to pay them £146 to fix their badly designed phone. A decent refurbisher with the right tools can fix touch IC faults.

Crazy that they came in at the and price point as the Galaxy S8 despite using last year's CPU and with an outstanding lawsuit against them for the boot loop issues.
They really needed to pitch this at the £450 mark to rebuild customer confidence. With the way sales is going, that might be sooner rather than later

Decent price, but a recent bootloop issue completely bricking the Nexus 5x 6 hours before I flew on holiday has meant that I'm not going back to LG any time soon!
I'd be wary about LG until they can unequivocally prove this issue has ceased. Customer services are slow as well.

I tweeted Amazon UK asking if they'd price match.
They said no. "We don't price match". :disappointed:

uk spec is useless/ Better to wait for it to drop in price , or get a V20 off ebay.

I was looking at the V20 as well but they don't sell it officially in UK. Never understand why.

You would think that if LG can fit it in a phone that everyone would want all those features (even if you don't use them). So we get a premium price without the top features. Like you said before, it doesn't stand a chance with the S8 at that price. I have a G3 and was looking to get the G6. Might get the V20 instead.

No wireless charging (us only) or quad DAC (s Korea only)
No idea why they don't standardise the phone across regions.

Does look a nice phone even though LG have left out several things other continents have on their model, but would have to be a little cheaper for me to bite yet.
Thanks anyway.

Hot from me. I hope amazon price match (vouchers to spend)
LG pricing the G6 the same as the S8 was not a smart move, if it had launched at last year's g5 price (£529) I'd be there day one. Woukdnt be surprised if we see it collapse in price pretty quickly.
