Great tv.
Decent got gaming with about 30-34ms input lag in game mode.
You can't game in hdr mode though because it's about 70ms which is shame.
Also you need to turn of the local settings and turn backlight down to about 48 or you get light smears as it's only edge lit.
But apart from that it's cracking set.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is 2160p = 4K?
4 * 1080 = 4320 no ?

It's 3840 (nearly 4000) x 2160 - they decided to move the goalposts.

99% of all monitors tvs are 3840 x 2160
only a few are 4096

4k is 4 times as many pixels as 1080p (8.3Mpx vs 2.07Mpx). Think of it this way, put four 1080p screens in a square - what's the resolution?

I see thanks for the explanation. Seems like a bit of marketing fluff then

They could have used 4096x2160, but 3840x2160 was chosen as it's far better for 1080p upscaling (1:4).

Cool, i heard there was one coming but I thought it was just for the old sets. I hope it fixes it because although it's not amazing hdr it's good. Just lacks th brightness but tbh I don't like it too bright anyway

Kinda right.
Although a 49" 4k TV has 4 times pixels of a 49" 1080p set and same size.
The pixels are 4 times smaller

No, not 'kinda' right, my example would be comparing a 49" 4K to 4 24" 1080p's.

This might be the first time I've seen a super UHD tv from one of the bigger brands in the £500 range. Bargain if you ask me. I assume it's not a 10bit panel though? Too much to ask for an already good price I suppose

Its 8bit+, it does have a billion colours though it just doesn't have the 1000 nits to get hdr 10.

I took my ks7000 back due to massive juddering issues. it wasn't a fault either, they all have it. just Google it, loads of complaints.
Is that this set? Code at end is different, when I scan on my TV it shows I have latest and it's version 04.30.65

I had to install the latest firmware via USB (04.31.10). My OLED55B6V uses the same file as they share the same Realtek chipset (RTD2999).

I have this TV, got it for a couple of hundred more back in December, and it's worth every penny. There is indeed a HDR gaming mode in the new firmware, which you need to download and install manually, and it's great.
Excellent find! Heat ^_^

I haven't tried any HDR games yet. It would involve moving my PC or streaming them using an Nvidia Shield which would further contribute to the lag. I believe Hitman, Forza, Gears and Resi 7 support it on PC.

My pc in another room, I got a drill and drilled a hole through wall lol.
Use a wireless pad /wireless mouse/keyboard.
Yet to play a game in 4k on pc yet although very capable but on my ps4 pro the lag in hdr game still feels alot higher than game mode normal

purchased this a couple of days ago but picking up until tomorrow. Paid £599 which includes 5 year warranty. Had a demo and picture was stunning,I was also considering a Panasonic which was £200 more however side by side there wasn't any difference that I could notice. Also the OS looks stunning.
