A very good set. I have one myself! Really recommend buying the magic remote too if this screen does not come with one, otherwise it's a real nightmare to use. The magic remote is basically a mouse with a scroll wheel. You just point it to the area on the screen and the mouse moves.
I'm still finding new features, connectivity is excellent, particularly with network content, bluetooth support etc.
The only real downside with these is that the IPS panel has a great viewing angle, but at the cost of getting muddy blacks. The local dimming does help, but the reality is that the local dimming is also a big distraction. You don't really ever get used to it so always noticing.
That said, I wouldn't want to swap it for another set, and will do me until OLED becomes a bit more affordable at this feature level and price point.
Mine was cheaper though, it was an amazon warehouse deal and ultimately only cost me around £400 + £50 for the magic remote.
The interface on these is particularly snappy, and there are continually updated apps so you can throw away the fire tv stick.
Thats such a great news. Dont think i'd be able to put the m7000 in my VW golf if i make my way to richer sounds... i would order it from JL in a blink of an eye if it was in stock *crys eyes out*
Argos using TV10 would get you some decent 55" sets around 550 or below.

'Bare in mind using a tablet or phones means...' - this sentence is totally wrong and misinforming:
1. If your broadband goes down you can still access network locations (your phone has an internal IP on your network and so does the TV) as they use their internal IP addresses to talk to each other.
2. If your home internet was down, you wouldn't be able to use your mobile data to connect to the TV because:
.....2.1 You'd need a VPN which both your phone and TV are connected to
..........2.2 Your TV wouldn't be able to connect to the VPN as your internet is down.

I really feel bad for missing that actual deal for 549 lol, I am not too fussed about warranty and that extra 50 quid seems steep for me, yet I am aware that it's a newer model so it's probably still worth the price, I might have to go for it, soon lol.

I am after a decent 65" 4K ULTRA HD TV for under a 1k.....any suggestion!!!
Sheza1
1 May 17#38
It doesn't have the full 4K amount of coloured sub-pixels. Okay, maybe that wasn't plain English enough haha.
Each pixel on a display is made up of three sub-pixels: red, green, blue. You get the idea...those primary colours together make the rainbow, so to speak. So on a 4K display you would expect to see 3840 × 2160 pixels, each comprising 3 sub-pixels.
On an LG RGBW TV, each third red, green, or blue pixel is replaced with a white one, i.e. not a colour one. This is different to LG's OLED TVs that use an ADDITIONAL white sub-pixel (so that each pixel is made up of four sub-pixels).
It's basically replacing a quarter of the sub-pixels in the display with white ones. This means colours look dull and washed out, and fine text looks weird when you hook the TV up to a PC.
I might add that the primary reason I returned my 43 inch LG TV was because it stuttered when viewing Freeview HD, but the RGBW scandal definitely helped me decide to return it...

Personally looking for a 55'' LG 4K TV for around £500, would appreciate suggestions if possible, mostly for movies and sports. Argos, Currys do have some but just not sure if they are the latest range and many of them seem to be identical yet the prices vary £100 in difference in some cases.

If you have to have LG then make sure it has a VA panel not IPS as their budget sets use rgbw panels.
Does it have to be LG? Hisense do some decent sets.
With 5 year warranty at John Lewis for £749 delivered. No brainer buy from JL.

I have this TV, not bad for PS4 XB1s HDR 4k and UHD Bluray. Paid 675.00 from Very when they had 10% off TV's. It only had 1 USB port and 3 hdmi. The apps are not great. Android is slightly better as you can install kodi.

I'm in the same boat do I go big 55/60 or stick to 49.
I wanted to stick to LG for the NOW TV support, I think I want to keep 3D too so heading down the 49/850 option, it states that that one comes with the magic remote. I do use the app at the minute on my older 47~LG and its been a great set.

Do it, it's superb, and somewhat future proof with Dolby vision, hdr10 and will have HLG too. Doesn't reach HDR premium standards in terms of brightness and is 8 bit FRC instead of 10 bit (not that you'd notice) but it's a damn fine set. 3d on it is amazing, only bettered by oled.

wasn't entirely sure, was hoping someone would be along to point these things out lol. To be honest I am stuck between this Tv and the LG 55UH850V which is obviously smaller, but presuming is the better panel of the two

get the 55UH850V, as 60" panels are not premium panels, get 55 or 65, never a 60

I have the same set, and this is the correct remote control. It essentially runs on Bluetooth and will work on any of the 2016 webOS lineup with an integrated Bluetooth radio.
Bare in mind that using a tablet or phone means that if your broadband goes down, you have neither internet or the ability to turn your tv on or off without dipping in to your phone's data plan.
Do you have Sky tv? You can program the sky remote to at least turn on and off, switch channels etc.

Thanks for the link. I am not sure that the magic remote is compatible. The original remote still works but the top left was chewed to the pcb. Luckily she did not bite the power button. There are no buttons on the TV either. Not even a power button. The app on my phone works just as well as the magic remote. As you use the touch screen as a mouse. I may even install on to my tablet thinking about it.

That's good to know FamGuy. That was my plan also to wait until the OLEDs come down in price. unfortunately my trusty 8 year old LG 50ps3000 1080p plasma got smashed at the weekend so have to make do with offers at the moment. was pretty gutted to be fair, reckon that had a good few years left in it still lol
