On balance, it's a good sized screen, with high resolution, plenty of useful features and connection and crucially 6 year guarantee.. for a modest £550.

I knew it would start the HDR/Pixel debate but it's not sub quality even for that money.

Of course if u got the budget for it. I just got the m7000 hisense for £609 with ao after price matching and discount code plus £5 for next day delivery. I am not entirely happy with it. Bit slow on starting up, compared my UH750 I had. EPG is slow. Tried watching catch up slow and doesnt connect. Might send it back and get the 49" LG with dolby vision
* EPG solved via software update provided by Hisense but you lose freeview play for the benfit

Tbh guys unless you got a 4k player its worth keeping what u got. Only a few films are in 4k and you will soon watch them and nothing else to use 4k for. Yeah maybe so colour is more vibrant and sharper and thats what your paying for

I've got a LG 50" plasma, around 6 years old now, no faults, I feel your pain.

The 770v is 8bit+2bit dithering. Only the 950v is true 10bit and of course the lg oled 4k range.

Glad to see so many here are now wise to LGs cheaper so called 4k TV lines, brings a tear to my eye.

Amazing TV so far...if I get 5/6 years out of it I'll be happy...no doubt by then OLED would have dropped and people will be commenting how OLED is rubbish compared to the next new thing they bring out! lol

It would have to be 8 quid for me to buy a lucky goldstar tv.

As far as I'm aware all of LG's RGBW panels are IPS and according to the site that HiSense TV is using a VA one instead so there's a fair chance it's normal RGB. But you would be best to try to find a unit to demo somewhere as the picture quality will depend on much more than just the sub-pixel structure.

towards the bottom it does state 2880 RGB and 960 W... which gives you the 3840 needed for 4K

Even then I think you could only tell if doing a side by side comparison next to a display known to be full 4k rgb

Yes the display spec website does say on some displays if its rgb or wrgb, but on some of them that field is blank or missing

I think any 6xx series LG 4k tv's are the "fake" 4K (i.e. would include this one). You need a 7xx series 4k TV for the normal rgb pattern.

I am sorry not. But once at home a simple 4-4-4 chroma test can be performed and if not perfect it means it is affected. Anyway, usually the cheaper one
