£368 at Amazon and decent reviews. Looks like it's been retailing at £450 until recently, on Amazon at least.

I've got this tv, had it for about 6 months got it in my bedroom, good picture and handles my ps4 well. Trust me you wont need a sound bar with this as the sound that comes off it is fantastic.

8 or 10 bit?

If you want a 10 bit around this price, wait until summer for Hisense to releases this.
Hisense R6 Series
• 4K Roku TVs with Roku OS
• 43, 50, £299 and £349
• $399, $449,
• HDR10 compatible
Being 'HDR10 Compatible' doesn't necessarily mean it's a 10 bit panel..... in fact why add the word 'compatible' at all?
it could just use 8bit dithering

Got this last month, not the best picture quality. You are better off spending 100 quid more and getting a Panasonic or a Sony.

Maybe not, but surely being released in 2017 all Panels should be 10 bit as standard, no? why even mention 10bit in spec released by Hisense if it was not a 10 bit panel, it would only confuse people.
Lets see what they release.

Dunno, but confusing people is what TV makers are good at.. HD Ready springs to mind
Manufacture date doesn't really matter, they're built to a budget
Just seems a bit cheap

Yea this isn't 4K resolution as such as it uses RGBW structure.

I have both the 43" and 49" version of this TV and I think they are great. I picked up the 43" for £329 from Tesco using a voucher code. Extra 5 year warranty probably worth it over that. Heat from me.

Thanks for the info. What's the sound like, rickinyorkshire? A few reviewers say it's pretty good.

I have this tv sound is great, changed settings on tv a few times but still not impressed with picture. Had 4K on Netflix the picture not good at all but I'm wondering if that's down to poor internet speed

Excuse me for possible thickness, but how do you tell if a 4k TV has a RGBW panel

Only LG use this type of panel and then only on entry level sets most of the UH 6 range use the RGBW panel.

You can take a picture of the screen whilst it's displaying a full white image if you're looking at TVs in stores (if you have a decent camera), you'll notice that after the red, green and blue sub-pixel there's a fourth white sub-pixel, you'll be able to tell if the panel is IPS or a VA as well. But generally most of the LGs starting with a 6 are RGBW.
There's a good site here to check as well. Scroll down past the Vertical viewing angle and if there's a bit added it will mention the RGBW structure.

Just to clarify, only the IPS screens, the mva panel is a genuine 4k one.

Is there any news on this Roku R6 launch in the UK? I can't find any information on this being confirmed for the UK yet.

Hi.
Hisense for the UK and Europe have launched a few decent models but no ROKU, as yet. You can always get fire-stick.

It looks like none of the units mentioned in the 2017 lineup are out yet, not even in the US.

Hisense have released the N5700 and N6800 series 6 this year and are available to order, and I think few other models.
