On the switch the loading times can be moderately long but i never found them intrusive. The world loads and your good to go. I had good fun with it.

If you got prime now use code 10off40 for a tenner off a 40 spend.

That don't work?? I have Amazon Prime Now and added Zelda on Switch to basket £47.99, used code above and it says.

Load times are quite long but as it's an open-world you don't see them very often.
I just beat the game on Switch and really enjoyed it.

Also the load times are dramatically reduced on Xbox one at least.

The loading times are the same - give or take 2 seconds - on the PS4 & X1 also. It must just be the way they programmed the engine, not hardware or storage medium.

Probably much heavier compression to fit on the cartridge. I think the Switch version is something like 8GB for digital where as the wii u version was 11GB or more I think. It's probably 8GB for digital because it has to match the 8GB cartridge. I suppose if they compressed the digital version less it would have a very detrimental effect to comparisons with the cartridge version as load times would have been much faster on the digital version over cartridge.

Heat added, but still overpriced, i don't get why nintendo microsoft ect re-release games on the new consoles at rrp, it really doesn't make sense apart from remastered ones..

The digital version may be the smartest option in that respect. Digital Foundry showed that Switch cartridges are much slower than its internal flash memory and are also quite a bit slower than using third-party memory cards.

By all accounts the loading is faster than WiiU, but not that much faster.
I'm happy to drop £40+ on Zelda and MK8, but think will wait until this is more reasonably priced. £36 is still a hell of a lot of money for a 7/10 game.

Voted hot. Seems expensive on Switch, I paid £13 something on wii u for the select version ages ago but this seems a good price based on the high suggested selling price.
