Having bought one of these I'd suggest that you don't waste your money. The quality is atrocious and their customer service is just as bad. My Keter broke within the week, the top lid having already came damaged and then the hinge of the door sheared off. Useless bit of rubbish.

Had mine 2 years, no problems, very sturdy

PS: if you see one with damage on clearance as i did in Homebase, ring up Keter and they send the spare parts, mine only cost £30, spare parts arrived within a week

Avoid. Poor quality and customer service poor. Hinges break after 6 months and cannot be replaced

That's an excellent price, although the box is huge so you'll need a large estate, or, possibly, a van to collect.

We've had 2 of these for over a year and no problems. I've personally found them to be well-made and very robust. We use one for recycling crates and large flattened cardboard boxes and the other for storing our gas BBQ through the winter season. We also have Keter patio furniture and cushion storage boxes... all well-designed and excellent quality. The master stroke in the design of Keter items is they contain no metal components so nothing to rust.

But being plastic bits break easily and the furniture fades in the sun,my Grey set looks fifty shades of Grey & white now :laughing:

Good price I paid £89 - deal on Amazon a while ago, just to mention my one turned up with broken lid and took 2 months for keter to send out new one - they come from Israel!

Got two of these, one for mother and one for me, had them two plus years now and mine is opened at least once a day, lots more mostly, never had a problem with any of them, the hinges are perfect. waterproof and sturdy, only problem i have found is that it is essential that the base is level, mine is in direct sunlight and there has been no trouble with warling and minimal bleaching of the lid

In my experience a sieve would do a better job at keeping the rain out..

I've had one of the slightly older green / beige versions of these for a few years now. It's in a slightly sheltered spot (next to a fence and under a large tree) but I've had no issues with build quality or water getting in. It has some sun loungers and cushions for garden furniture in so, to be on the safe side, I got some of the big robust Dimpa storage bags from Ikea to put them in. I've not noticed a large number of bugs, but have spotted a few cobwebs in the lid so I guess things can get in if they want.

Definitely agree it needs to have a level base and would certainly have the back against something as it's probably the weakest bit.

I also had a problem with a broken lid in the pack when I bought it, but it was easy enough to get a spare sent out by contacting Keter through their website and uploading a pic of my receipt. Took a couple of weeks to come as they didn't have that colour in stock due to them changing over to brown and beige.

I have a keter midi for kids garden toys, and a keter ultra that houses my telescope, cameras, a computer and load of electronics (both kept outside obviously). Survived storms and rain, and nothing has blown up yet. I think they're pretty decent value for money, got that keter 4x6 shed that was on offer yesterday coming too. I only order from amazon so don't have to worry about keter customer service.

Anyone know how secure these are - e.g. could I store a bike in it and still be protected by insurance?

Same as a shed then most of them you unscrew the hinge for access, you can lock the Keter handle with a padlock

Very good at keeping the water out, in my experience. Keeps our BBQ and accessories/cushions protected from the elements all over winter.

Definitely not air-tight! Bugs will find a way into most things stored outside, but I haven't found it to be a problem, personally.

I find they keep spiders bigger than tennis balls out, also never found a snake in mine.

I know it's £15 more but there isn't a wickes by me, there is an argos.

just picked one up. Took 20 minutes to build and very good quality. Will be getting another later today for my wheelie bins. Will also fit shelves in them using the dimensions provided in the instructions.

St500 is right 20 mins to put up but having a electric screwdriver will help. My only bit of advise is if you make sure you keep the panels pushed together when putting the screws in as is some places the screws need a good fix into some areas of plastic which are small and need lining up. I have put 20 put door sofa cushions in the shed and they fit.

I think this keter storage is good and i put it together on my own.

I keep my mower, strimmer as well as several garden tools in this for over a year now with no issues. Never any sign of water getting in etc so would recommend
