15% off weekend at Wickes. Also £7.93 topcashback (which has tracked immediately for me) taking it to £417.06.
It's obviously gotta be something you're looking specifically for but I've been looking for a new shed for a while, and after seeing the Amazon deal of the day, I still wanted the 8x6 so looked a little further online. Has seemingly not been under £500 for some time, at least for the last couple of months I've been shed hunting anyway.
I've ordered - hope this helps someone else!

Please explain why a nearly 500 quid shed of size 8 by 6 is getting hot votes.

If not in hurry this has been much cheaper on Amazon - £345 just before December and often below £400

Because, relative to its usual price, its cheap? Is that not how "deals" work?

Because people find this deal better value for money than your both cold-rated nearly £1500 AV receivers. Not ragging on you, just being factual.
This is the specific shed I've had my eye on for a while, and it's a decent price, and it's highly rated, I've ordered, and I decided to share it on here, and other people find the deal to be hot. It's how the site works. People aren't obliged to give a reason as to why they vote hot or cold either, but you asked, and I obliged.
I did see it at £390 a while back on Amazon but there was a huge wait, IIRC. I guess with something like this no one really wants to order them over the winter, especially in Swansea where our weather is disgusting. Didn't fancy the idea of assembling this in the winter weather

Can't really comment on the value of this deal but I've had this exact shed for 7 years. It's great fun to assemble and very sturdy and a doddle to clean out.

That's good to know and echoes the other reviews I've read. I love a bit of flatpack, and this is just flatpack on a marginally bigger scale. Looking forward to getting my teeth into it, just hope the weather stays decent for a little while.

just make sure you have a completely flat Base to work on when erecting this.

I got this for £320 last year, was a little bit of a pain to put up as one of the side panels was 5 mm too short (they sent a replacement panel) and despite the base being flat on slabs, the shed has little tolerance for for a 2-3 degree skew (of the level) that allowed for water drainage - sorted by putting a thin layer of sand underneath one corner of the base.
Felt it was over-priced for £320!!!!! It's why I feel this deal is cold

Oh. So you are one of those that clicks on other people's deals to make a personal dig. Shame on you. In fact all you are doing is showing the odd voting patterns of a lot of hot UK deals postings.
Still think 425 is too much for a shed of this size. That was the point.
Furthermore, i don't vote relative to the typical overpriced price, i vote hot if you cannot get similar items for a lot less.

As is your prerogative.
Yes, there is very tight tolerances on this - its what keeps it rigid. I'd the same problem with the 11x9. Took 2 hours to get the back corner "right" to allow it all to pull together. But it was down to a very slight slant on the base, nothing to do with the shed itself
Good for you getting it cheap last year. Things have went up in price because of the impact of the Brexit vote.
This is as good a deal on it as is currently available.

"Shame on you". Shame on me? Have a word with yourself
When you post something like "Please explain why this is getting hot votes" what do you expect?! No one owes you any explanation. Click cold, leave the thread, and toddle along on your merry way.

It was £345 in December but gone up in price now. Brexit vote was last June... This has nothing to do with Brexit.

great shed fair play - Im in North wales and its had some strong winds buts its still here

I can second that, And make sure you bolt it down too I was lazy and didn't, as it has my dads mobility scooter in it, I thought that would weigh it down enough, But one day came out to find it had moved about 2 feet in the strong winds! Very good sheds had mine 2 years and still looks perfectly new!
Take your time building it properly, don't tighten all the bolts proper until the end of construction, and get someone to help you do the roof I found it a struggle on my own!

Thanks for the tips both. I was considering skimping on bolting it down as I thought the weight inside would be sufficient but I won't cut corners and I'll do it properly.

I just got some grey raw plugs and bolts from Wilkos, about an 8mm drill bit or might have been a 10 can't remember exactly(long time ago), and then drilled holes through the plastic floor of my shed, and into my paving slabs below it. Inserted a raw plug and then Tightened bolts down with a socket wrench.
My shed has about 8 bolts holding it in place now, As they have a plastic floor, they'l easily slide sideways in strong winds, if you don't anchor them down somehow!.
My sheds not exactly the same as the one in this thread, but it's the same principle mines a Palram Skylight from Argos! >>>here available in various colours! I went for brown, you can get grey and green too!

This was a bargain when I got my 2 slightly smaller sheds - was 5 years ago but good sheds
Shame on you cos you made it personal to the point of doing "research" without actually addressing the question. Hot votes don't matter to me. Giving people the opportunity to get a good product at a good price does. And for better or worse I like to know why people vote cold or hot. There are no rules that say i cannot ask. So while noone owes me an explanation i am entitled to ask. So stop taking it personally little fella.

Thanks again for all the advice, loads of useful information in this thread and lots that will come in handy when building it.
As I'm mounting this on concrete, can anyone advise if this sort of bolt would be suitable?
Hi the base is a 2 part that screws together, then start doing the sides, its 100% a 2 man job, cause I found that sometimes you have to rock it back and forth to get it lined up, well that made it easier to line up the holes, I didnt have to fix it to the ground cause once things are into Its going nowhere.

It's done! Took about 6 hours all in, including an hour to get the old shed down. I am mega happy, but bloody knackered!
