Would personally recommend the AutoBrite foam lancer, much better than the Karcher version. Has varying pressure etc and comes with a larger bottle too.
Can be found here although likely to be cheaper elsewhere

No doubt there are better products on the market. For the average person I reckon this is fine for most.
I own one and the spread of foam seems fine. So why would I upgrade to a better model? I'd have thought the foam solution makes more of a difference.
I agree with you on that. I have the Autobrite foam lance and I highly recommend it. I use it all the time. Little bit more money but miles better product.

These lances are a bit of a gimmick. Snow foaming as a prewash is a great thing to do, but just use a garden sprayer.
The problem with these lances is it is very difficult to get the dilution ration correct. This ratio is crucially important as too little product and it went clean properly. Too strong and it will strip your wax/sealent from the car.
Because a sprayer doesn't add additional water from a hose, you can get the dilution perfect.
The foaming action does nothing. Some suggest it is better at clinging to the car - but in my experience the reverse if actually true.

Rather a contradiction here. You say they are a bit of a gimmick, then say snow foam makes it almost clean, without washing the car. Can't have it both ways.

In what way is it a better product? Build yes I'd agree. But how on performance? Not trolling I am interested.

My washer came with an el cheapo detergent bottle, that applies a sort of foam... what's the big deal with "snow foam" ?

It takes 95% of the dirt off the car without having to touch the paintwork. Therefore when you wash the car you rub MUCH less grit and dust into the paintwork hence reducing swirls.
Vastly improved the degradation of the paintwork.
Washing using two buckets (one for shampoo and one for rinsing the MF) reduces problems further.
In the winter I only use snow foam - never actually wash the car as there is so much dirt on the surface. Show foam makes it almost clean (you cant tell it hasn't been washed unless you look carefully).

He's saying the lances are a bit of a gimmick and that there are other ways of producing the snow foam, not that snow foam is a gimmick.

Exactly. Apologies for maybe not being clear. And in particular this lance due to its capacity.

Ideal for snow foaming your vehicles.
