Fourth instalment in the blockbusting dinosaur series. 22 years after the events of 'Jurassic Park' (1993), Isla Nublar, located off the Pacific Coast of Central America, has been reopened as a dinosaur theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs - the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to clean up the mess. The supporting cast includes Vincent D'Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and Irrfan Khan.

I got my order in today and it is indeed just the 3D blu-ray, it did seem to play fine in 2D for me with PowerDVD10 though and the UV code is for the 2D version as well so I can watch it without having to endure PowerDVD10 startup times. Also they look to have sorted the descriptions and pictures out on the Zoom website so you should actually get the version you order now with any luck.

I got the 3D version too in the post today, but i've not opened it as I'd probably return it to get the one with the 2d version and dvd. The website lists both versions so I think they've just sent the wrong one.

This one didn't. I had to buy the 2D version separately. I do know what I'm talking about!

Yup all 3D discs that do come with both 3D/2D on same disc, all the player does is play the left eye of the 3D disc, equals 2D, always prefer separate discs myself, as you get better bitrate, but its cheaper for the studios just to put both on same disc at no extra cost.

I have also never had issues playing 3D Blu-Rays in 2D on 3 different blu-ray players.

All 3D movies that only come on one disc, must play also 2D version, thats the bluray3d spec, have loads of 1 disc 3D Blurays, and they all have option to play 2D.

Title says it includes 2D too, but picture doesn't
I remember the massive backlash from this launch, paid £5 extra and didn't get a 2D disc, while the US got a 3 Disc special edition with 3D as standard
ended up getting a 50% refund and a reprinted copy which included the 2D copy from Amazon, although it took around 5 months

I think for this title it's worth buying it whether you're sure it comes with 2D or not. They will have to refund you if the copy you receive is different from the one listed, pictured OR described. Consumer protection :man:

And normal Blu-Ray players will not downscale the 3D to 2D, as I found out :disappointed: . Great film though and the successor is due next year
