I found one of these in the Cheltenham store. It's worth checking if you have one local as I asked at the desk if they had any and they said no. Then I found one behind the counter in the games section.

My personal opinion is that this is the best headset I've ever owned. It's also one of the few sets that I have had no issues with when wearing with glasses. The customer service I received when there was a minor issue with the audio jack was great too. They sent out a replacement part that arrived within a couple of days despite it being out of warranty.

Mostly out of stock, about 6 or so stores across UK/Ireland seem to have them, closest one to me is a 3 hour round trip, so I'm going to pass. Had they been available I would have grabbed them for sure, cracking deal.

Just a word for those using ps4... If you plug in with the 3.5 jack into your controller it is only stereo sound. Also, there is no control to mute the mic with this set up. However, they are built to last, imo comfortable for long game play and even with stereo the sound is great.

I can tell you now not to buy a gaming headset.. buy a pair of headphones and buy an antolion modmic or alternative. Headphones, I am using the beyerdynamic dt770s. They are 90ish pounds and by far better than any 100-150 pounds gaming headset.

Amazing headset amazing price! However, had mine since black friday and after a few hours it hurts, tried weakening the clamping force by puutting some books in the middle overnight, did nothing...

Heat added. Got them at £60 last September and thought I got a great deal then!
Great sound quality, very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the detachable mic is a great feature. I don't really rate the spare ear pads though, but still way worth the money :laughing:

I don't know where you heard that but they have the same drivers as far as I'm aware and cloud 2 have 7.1 capability.

Clouds are hell of alot comfier , feel better quality , I prefer the sound much more on the xo fours.

Don't waste your time as none in stock.I ordered these and within 20 mins got email stating cancelled order and refund.

Picked some up earlier, very dissapointed with the sound quality through USB, was using a sound card with some turtle beaches before which was much better

I managed to get one for instore pickup so cheers! I do feel that the external sound cards are always gimmicky and a waste of time though. How do others feel about them?

What? They're literally the same headset, except the cloud 2 has a USB 7.1 DAC

For music they're very treble focused. Quite a harsh sound that I'm not personally a fan of.

For gaming they're great.

These headsets have terrible mic quality, you are much better off getting the Plantronics Gamecom 788 for similar price. Their 7.1 Dolby setting is outstanding, and the Mic is almost studio quality.

I have these and this is an incredible offer, excellent headphones. very solid and good quality, I play cs competitively with them

The Cloud 2 is significantly worse sound quality than the Cloud 1. Smaller drivers so they could cram more in but it loses definition in doing so. Better finding the Cloud 1s on the cheap.

Or a better headset altogether.

Yes & yes. The wife has the pink and white version and I just tested them out on my mobile and plugged my audio technica ath-m50's into the usb dongle on the pc and they worked fine on both.


I have used these on the xbox one and they were good enough. However you won't have use of the 7.1 surround sound usb dongle just stereo sound as they connect via the 3.5mm headphone jack on the controller or if you have one of the older controllers you'd need to use the chat headset adapter.

Can anyone suggest a premium wireless headset to replace my Astro A50s which are no longer holding their charge. Useable with PC, Xbox and PS4 (mainly PC). At least something to watch out for an offer on.

If you can't get the Cloud II, then do what I did and get the Cloud X. Exact same headset, just a different cable without the 7.1 USB sound card. I had the Cloud II and hated the USB sound card and it broke anyway, much prefer having a direct cable with built in audio controls.

2 quick questions -

will the headset work on phones/tablets etc. without the soundcard bit through the 3.5mm jack ?
and
will the soundcard part work with other headsets/mics ?

can't see why both of the above shouldn't be the case, wanted a proper headset for ps4 so tough call between this and the wireless playstation 2.0 cans next time they drop to £50
