Could somebody please let me know if Morrison's would cut the fish in Darne or cutlet shapes ?
Appologies.. new to buying a whole fish here in UK.

Haven't managed to find a store nearby with whole salmon in stock. The chap behind the fish counter said they were selling out by 0930.

I assume that they don't lie. Especially, 95% labels states 'farmed'. The ones 'caught' are hard to find. Would be no point for business to lie about 5%, I think. Same goes for free range chicken: in my store, by my calculation, only 2% - 3% are free range, the rest is all caged - not happy meat.

any example? if they lie on the label, how could we know?

you need to read the label and select caught fish not farmed

£5 a kilo for whole salmon at Morrisons at the minute also

Very sure - this was going back about 6 months ago. I bought loads. I had them descale and fillet for me. packaged them in small portions and kept in the freezer. Just had the last lot a few weeks ago.

Btw if you order online then you need to add this in the notes section of the basket

Yes they can descale, take off head, tail & fins then cut into fillets

the last time this was on offer in Tesco a few months ago it was £4 per kilo. Not sure how wild out was but it tasted good

I always buy wild pink salmon fillets from Tesco but only In frozen section.

Morrisons have been the best quality salmon ive had so far, asda was by far the worst and the 'salmon' was almost white in colour heavily farmed and terrible taste. Not tried Tesco so will give this a go :smile:

Hopefully Morrisons and Asda will have their offers on soon as they are usually cheaper but thanks for posting
