Yeah our maths teacher used to fling the board rubber at us or give us 'brain massage' lol
We're talking 70's and early 80's with series 1 to 4, you whippersnappers, not your very late 80's and 90's junk. :stuck_out_tongue:

A clip round the ear only happened at my school if they lost the slipper and/or the cane, and since my age runs parallel to Grange Hill I think that suggests they toned it down for Grange Hill rather than the other way round. Times have changed!

I started showing some of these to my kids a while back (they are all on Youtube). Must say that they really enjoyed them, the cars and fashion might look dated, but the story lines are strong very still. They couldn't believe how the teacher pupil dynamic used to be though, with the sarcastic put-downs and clips around the ear.

Didn't they sort of become friends in "Tucker's luck" or am I thinking of a different bully?
Tempted to buy this and secretly watch this. Used to love this.

Not that it will matter to most people that still want these, but I remember from the original release many moons ago that there were issues regarding the picture quality and (mainly music) edits that seemed to disappoint many at the time.

Heat for the prices, unfortunately the dvd releases were abandoned after these two sets. Also the usual BBC music edits.

Rolaaaand's real name is Erkan Mustafa. Funny how a name can suit a character .

Yeah i think it was on BBC2 and they became friends...really dusting the old cobwebs out trying to think that far back....Grange Hill was pure class though. Was also funny when Ben Elton did the little 'Grange Hill' spoof in one of 'The Young Ones' episodes.

Worth watching if you're a Harry Potter fan just to see where JK Rowling got her character ideas from.
