Doesn't seem like a great idea. SLI is really falling out of favour these days. I'd do some research if I were you.

Good price, I'm just waiting for a matching design 1080ti for my board, but that price is tempting

Great price. I was planning to get an FTW/SC or Aorus but might reconsider given the cost saving.

I wouldn't if I was you mate, you are honestly better off with the 1070 on it's own at the moment, Crossfire/Sli support is woeful, currently have a double GPU rig and it's such a pain, every driver update seems to break it too, if you want 4k gaming go for the 1080 ti and anything else, a 1080/1070 is more than enough.

depends what games you play

Even if you get the 'games' you play, you are putting yourself into low minimum frames territory.
I can't, with good conscious, suggest anyone *pays* for a second card to SLI or Crossfire.
Wait for mGPU, skip SLI completely. More hassle and pain than worth.
Bloody hell I can buy 6 consoles for this price, a car, a large TV for gaming!! What the hell Bro, do u even lift Bra!

I was going to go for another 1070 to use in sli. I've read some articles about the 1070 in sli mode and they say they are blisteringly fast. However, it seems that not all games support sli. I still cant decide

I personally wouldn't, suppose if you was thinking of paying £300+ for another 1070, could sell your current one and put all the money towards the 1080ti

I got this exact card last night from Overclockers, got it for £700 as they mispriced it. Not overclocked it yet but out the box under full load barely went above 60' and is incredibly quiet. Blisteringly fast as you can imagine, very impressed.

Does CCL take the money when you order or when they ship?

hello
how can I help?
CCL Code: VGA3772
so this was £685.57 at CCL yesterday
as soon as you expected stock you shoot the price up to £771.12 inc VAT
disgraceful
our prices are subject to change at any time and we don't actually have stock yet
this will probably change again
all the 1080Ti's will be updated with proper pricing when we get stock
well its quite dissapointing
i think that price £685.57 yesterday was a publicity stunt
i posted it on http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-gaming-oc-11gb-with-free-game-685-57-ccl-2655764

the manufacturer of the card hasn't even decided on the price

the price will only be fixed when we have stock in the building
i understand it's not ideal for you

They knew the price a month ago. All the distributors did. Perhaps it was a stunt. Not cool ccl. But generally their prices are good.

Sound advice. I'll be a good price for my current 1070. It's a high end MSI card. And then I'll put that towards a 1080ti. Maybe. There's no rush.

If you reverse it the 980ti is 50% slower.
