Dyson are currently offering a FREE Dyson AM06 Desktop Fan valued at £250 with selected items purchased on their website.
I've just purchased the Dyson V8 Absolute at £399 which includes the FREE Fan offer. The V8 absolute also qualifies for 0% interest free payment for up to 24 months.
I was about to purchase the V6 Animal at £199 but wanted another Fan so my thinking is that I get the V8 for £150 and can pay it of over a 24 months.
I Hope this helps someone out.
Please vote on the deal and not wether you like Dyson products. Thanks.

It is quiet until you turn the electric powerhead on, then it's as noisy as most other vacuums. It definitely does a better job than the dyson with the air powered floor head

Dyson have their own perception of "silent".... they only compare the noise levels with their own products, never the real world

Quick question for any Dyson owner (would appreciate any feedback)
My wife is really fussy if I got the V8 from Dyson direct (when the offers back) and if she hates it, can we return the item and get money back ?
I checked dyson website returns section, but its quite vague just says you have to email or telephone within 14 days

Out of interest how many people got the toolkit included with order - I got a no several times!
Also my scheduled before 12 delivery did not turn up yesterday as they ran out of stock bit did not send notification. Mysteriously they found stock and will be delivering today on an all day delivery. It took me over 90 minutes and 4 calls to sort this out - so far I'm not too impressed with Dyson.

14 Apr 17#87
OK, it states on the phone that it's automatic and doesn't imply that it's optional but if you can ask them not to then fair enough. It would still technically be fraud to do so though (albeit a pretty minor one!).
When I bought my V6 Total Clean (direct from Dyson) a couple of days later a much better deal turned up at Currys. I phoned Dyson and asked to return the (used) one. They agreed to price match Currys but still took the first one back and sent a new one. Crazy but apparently the only way their system could cope with it, I would have been quite happy to keep the original and have them just refund the difference.
stef232
14 Apr 17#86
That's incorrect. Dyson give you an option to decline registering the devise by them.
jenmumof5
14 Apr 17#85
I'm so sorry, I was discussing Dyson on 2 different threads on here. The free toolkit was with the v6 total clean which I bought reduced with Dyson.
The v8 absolute had the reduction and free fan. No extra tool kit.
But. What I received as standard with the total clean is fab and I can't imagine that I'll use the tools that are winging their way to me via snail mail (same as when I bought my upright 6 years ago, free tools, novelty wore off after 2 weeks and they've never been used since!!)

14 Apr 17#84
When you buy from Dyson directly they register the warranty to you automatically, even if the retailer didn't notice the different serial number it would still come to light when the next purchaser came to register it.
You could legitimately return the used one to the retailer using your statutory rights as it's under 14 days.
stef232
14 Apr 17#83
Yeah I think that would work. Just make sure you tick the box when ordering so that Dyson don't pre register the new V8 you'll be returning to the 3rd party supplier.

Don't miss out on the deal over a tool kit. I can't imagine the tool kit being needed anyway when you see what's included as standard with the V8.
Get it ordered before the deal changes.
Mine arrived before 9 yesterday and I'm so pleased with it that I haven't given the freebies a second though.
Asking as you get the fan then it's a winner. I can't see this deal being beaten for some time.

Nightmare just bought V8 absolute from a different retailer a few days ago, this offer wasn't on dyson site at the time.
Only just been delivered the other day. Haven't used it any more than a couple of minutes just to make sure working as have been busy, but unfortunately have registered serial n.o on dyson for warranty so don't think i could return it now for shop to sell to someone else? Wouldn't be fair on next buyer anyway to return it as new when it has been charged and used albeit only breifly.
However had thought about buying this deal from dyson to get the free fan, then returning the brand new unregistered V8 unit sent by dyson to other retailer for a refund as well within 14 day return period if dyson delivery is quick enough?
Can anyone see if this would cause any problems. i e they likely to notice the one I've sent back has different serial number etc? Or do you think they'll just check it in as all in tact clean and unused etc.
Not sure if worth hassle but keep thinking £250 fan for free and with a toddler we like idea of no blades etc.

Got a Dyson tower fan two years ago paid way over £300 for it, would not buy it again , comparing to cheap standard standing blade fan it doesn't cool the room.
It's not that quiet either, needs a good clean once in a while so took it apart once or twice not much inside apart from a motor , it really is not worth the price overall more like a novelty item to me....
Would be only good if you have a small kids or animals then for safety reasons it would be appropriate I guess...

How many people honestly want the older desk fan that does not purify the air when all the more recent models do!?
Which is probably why Dyson are giving them away :man:
And after hundreds of people have purchased this deal eBay will be flooded with AM06 desk fans pushing the resale value down. If it was a free desk purifier I would be all over this deal but a desk fan is useless to me, we live in the U.K. not Australia :P
As for the sale prices of the vacuums, I got a V8 from Dyson in January for £340 with free tools chucked in! I'm voting hot on this deal however as even if you can achieve £100 for the AM06 it makes the V8 Absolute £300 which is really good

Ok. To all the Anorak vacuume experts. I'm not interested in a debate about Dyson being poor quality or overpriced.
I merely posted up the deal so the people that acknowledge the quality may be interested in purchasing and getting a good deal.
It seams every Dyson post attracts idiots that don't like the product but can't help giving out their opinions. I can only deduce from this that they're searching for a bargain Dyson but can't really afford one so they knock the brand and item.

yep, and brexit supporting Charles Dyson shifted production and opened a new R&D centre in malaysia a few years ago.
I spend a great deal of my time repairing Dyson as a Warranty Repair Station. As a tech, my problem with Dysons are the weak, crappy parts, and troublesome design flaws. I do not like bagless machines, as they are dirtier, require more regular maintenance, and do not pick up as well as bagged vacs.
I use brand new Dysons in a demo to show how much they leave behind as compared to other brands.
It is my opinion that the better Hoover and Eureka machines work as well or better than Dyson's best. But for the price of a DC50 with the full Animal package, you could get much more vacuum.
One of my problems with Dyson is the amount of crap they leave behind in the carpet. For that kind of money, your carpets should be getting clean.
The Kirby and your Dyson, pull roughly 30 or so inches of suction at the floor. The Riccar that I use in the demo I mentioned, pulls over 70inches of suction at the floor. It doesn't leave much behind at all. One other difference is I use a rubber-backed carpet, so that nothing is coming up but what is in that rug.

Dyson are expensive but I've just found they last longer and that leads to lower TCO over their lifespan. They're basically the Apple of the vacuum cleaner world!

I initially called Dyson in order to get the free tool kit with my order but she explained the only way of getting the item on credit was to apply online - so I missed out on any discount for being a previous Dyson product owner and on the tool kit but I preferred to pay over 24 months and didn't feel I'd benefit from the Tool kit.
Either way if your wanting to purchase and pay in full then it may be worth calling Dyson for the extra discount.

No, I don't believe there's a limit. They asked for my postcode, house number and name. Mine was from an upright registered 6 years ago.
Knowing other hukd users had been given loyalty discounts in the past, I told him which model I was interested in and asked if there was a loyalty discount. He immediately dropped the price of the total clean by £20 and added a tool kit in. Then offered me this v8 absolute reduced with the free fan. Great deal if you were going to buy a fan anyway. Personally I would want to flog the fan - looks like it's easy enough to get £150 if not nearly £200 on theBay (maybe wait till weather improves :sunglasses:). Which means at £250 or so this is a better deal than the V6 Total Clean (even with extra bits) plus interest free payments!

dyson are grossly overpriced but this post is hot for me as there throwing in the fan.great find
Opening post
I've just purchased the Dyson V8 Absolute at £399 which includes the FREE Fan offer. The V8 absolute also qualifies for 0% interest free payment for up to 24 months.
I was about to purchase the V6 Animal at £199 but wanted another Fan so my thinking is that I get the V8 for £150 and can pay it of over a 24 months.
I Hope this helps someone out.
Please vote on the deal and not wether you like Dyson products. Thanks.

This offer was supposed to have gone all through May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife is really fussy if I got the V8 from Dyson direct (when the offers back) and if she hates it, can we return the item and get money back ?
I checked dyson website returns section, but its quite vague just says you have to email or telephone within 14 days
You would have needed the diplomacy of this guy to get the toolkit imo. 3 calls to 3 different phone monkeys and no joy.
Thank you very much to OP though as my wife was considering the V8 at full price a week ago.
Mid may or when stocks last.
Anyone know if there is a limit to how many fans? I want to order the V8 and a cool link fan which should mean two free fans, it does add two free fans to the basket but one has a quantity of zero next to it.

You could legitimately return the used one to the retailer using your statutory rights as it's under 14 days.
I called up and asked for the same - told that it wasnt happening.
silverred, can u help us understand the situation please?

Get it ordered before the deal changes.
Mine arrived before 9 yesterday and I'm so pleased with it that I haven't given the freebies a second though.
Asking as you get the fan then it's a winner. I can't see this deal being beaten for some time.
You'll get the 24 months promotional offer on the V8 and ANY other future purchase on the PayPal credit will be 0% for 4 months.
It's given me a credit limit of £5000 but 0% for only 4 months?? Strange as I have a good credit history.
Haven't proceeded with the order but haven't cancelled it either as I don't want to do another credit check.
Anyone up late with some advice?
Or was that for a different offer?

YMMV but may be worth calling multiple times until you get a result.
Thank you for your email.
The price shown in the email is unfortunately incorrect. However, if you are a returning Dyson customer we can offer you the owner discount price of £409.99 if your order is placed over the phone, this would still include the AM06 desk fan too.

No mention of tool kit but for my use the V8 absolute has all the tools I'll need and use.
Discount or no discount I'm really pleased with the V8 and the deal.
Regardless of negative comments I love Dyson products and the quality.
More importantly my Home would look ridiculous with an inferior Vax vacuum or even a 1970's looking shark.... and of course I could purchase a Smart price Fan if I wanted my home to look like I lived life on a budget.
I love homes with trampolines + Little Tikes slides nestled amongst Bin Bags & Weeds in the front Drive. !!
No need to pay over £100 for a decent vacuum. Just got a Shark for £80 and it's brilliant. Previous Vax for £40 did the job too.
It's not that quiet either, needs a good clean once in a while so took it apart once or twice not much inside apart from a motor , it really is not worth the price overall more like a novelty item to me....
Would be only good if you have a small kids or animals then for safety reasons it would be appropriate I guess...
I'm voting hot on this deal however as even if you can achieve £100 for the AM06 it makes the V8 Absolute £300 which is really good
I merely posted up the deal so the people that acknowledge the quality may be interested in purchasing and getting a good deal.
It seams every Dyson post attracts idiots that don't like the product but can't help giving out their opinions. I can only deduce from this that they're searching for a bargain Dyson but can't really afford one so they knock the brand and item.
I witnessed similar behaviour in primary school when I had a nice calculator watch back in the 80's. !!
However, their fans are absolutely fantastic (and less risk of idiots trying to imitate Darth Vader), heat added

I have the older fan and not only is it a great talking point, the airflow is so smooth you can basically point it at your face and it's not annoying.
Thanks for the info though.
Either way if your wanting to purchase and pay in full then it may be worth calling Dyson for the extra discount.
Knowing other hukd users had been given loyalty discounts in the past, I told him which model I was interested in and asked if there was a loyalty discount. He immediately dropped the price of the total clean by £20 and added a tool kit in. Then offered me this v8 absolute reduced with the free fan. Was not a problem at all, really helpful operators who are happy to offer discounts because other retailers can't
Stonking deal if you're after both.
Is there any limit on how old the Dyson is?
