Yeah, all these right-on kids who think they're green and care for the planet and fellow man - until it takes a bit of effort!

This is a larger tent than Lidl's previous offerings (3 Person)
If you look at the cost of Glasto on-site tent rent - I would take the risk - and even "rent out" any spare accommodation in your Lidl tent
Although - regardless of the tent quality - you can't always rely on the Glasto weather
Like in 2014?

I disposed of mine after Glastonbury last year as it definitely wouldn't have survived a 4th year.
But there are hundreds of tents left where they stood every year.

The ones that burn their tents aren't the eco friendly ones, incase that wasnt obvious to you. Plenty of chavs go Glastonbury, they nick your stuff and spend the time drinking crates of beer they dragged for miles to camp site...

seems like a good deal to me for a 3000 hydrostatic head - will get one of these. Thank you
Just a little taller than most small tents so I can sit in a low chair in it, and only 1kg heavier than my 2 man I take cycling. PERFECT. Now I had better find one when they go on sale

My daughters desperate to go camping this year, have never been. I'm really hoping my local store has one of these but have a feeling not as it's pretty small!

This is almost identical to the one Aldi did last year but had a hydro static head of 2000mm (this is the waterproofness if you did not know). I was a bit suspect about the tent as I have done a lot of camping but money was tight and I needed a bigger tent as I was taking two of my kids on a trip last year which it did well. I have just returned from an April trip to various parts of the Pennines and North Yorkshire with the kids and the tent did very well. You need to get all the guy ropes pegged out as it is quick to bend in the wind if not. The pegs are as expected cheap as chips and I supplemented them with extra from a pound shop so I could double peg the corners and guy ropes. Stood up to some strong wind and some heavy downpours but not confident it would stand up to a full scale battering and I had been weather watching before deciding on trip. After a night of continual rain water had started to come through the outer skin but the inner was dry. The porch was a good size and using one of those camper picnic stoves from Aldi, flat rectangle with a gas cartridge I was able to cook out the wind for three of us (make sure you keep the tent ventilated and away from naked flame if you do this).. Tempted to pick up one of these as a backup as for under £30 is a no brainer. Easy up and down.

I have never been camping before and my daughter is desperate to go so will be me, her and our 2 dogs.
Picked up the tent, camping chair and some extra pegs. Hoping I enjoy it, I have looked at so many tents over the past 4 weeks I was getting xl sick of looking. I really didn't want to buy an expensive one for first trip in case I hated it
The video in the site makes it look as though it's relatively easy to put up- we shall see

takethatfan1978 - try putting it up and taking down a couple of times in garden first. You may find the pole connectors a bit loose so when putting in the sleeves, push the poles through. If like the Aldi one two poles will have a black cap on one end and and open socket at the other. The front porch pole has tow open ends. You need to then fit the pins at the two front corners to these ends. Can need a bit of force to bend.

Picked one up in Redditch today. Set up fine to examine. Commeth the rain. Managed to disassemble again. Will be using for odd nights away here and there.

I have never put up a tent before and attempted to scan the qr code for instructions but it took me to lidl careers page

Haha, yes the instructions aren't great.
You would peg the ground sheet first (I didn't bother as just checking) 2 poles black. 1 Pole grey
The 1 goes over the front.
the other 2 crisscross over. 1 end is open the other closed. Feed the end with the black cap through the open end until it reaches thr end, you may need to manually feed the material over the pole joins in parts. The other end you insert the silver peg on the 0-ring (very bendy!)
Peg out when done

Took the tent camping at the end of last week and ended up coming home early due to the tent letting on every flipping drop of rain.
Yes it's a cheap tent, yes it's not for heavy rain but I certainly expected better. Won't be using it again.
