This is 14p more than the previous SimplyGames deal but it does come with a steelbook. Smyths also has it at this price but without the steelbook. I am personally not a fan of this game, but I am aware I am not the only human being on this planet. So hopefully it helps the right person.

Unless you're a hard core fighting game fanatic who is yearning to get stuck in to something new then do avoid this guys, it's just really not very fun at all. Storymode is literally an illusion getting you to grips with each fighter and the flagship mode 4v4 is one big giant mess. 1v1 and 2v2 have its moments but ultimately the rewards are pitiful and make you wonder why bother trying to rank up in the first place. Its a shame as the premise had potential and I love anything swash buckling and medieval.

Part of the beta for this and it looks great but the battle system is just far far too complex and annoying. Such a shame....

I'm surprised at the negative overviews being given here. The videos and coverage I've seen over the last month has been positive, minus certain issues, like connectivity, latency and *sigh* cosmetics. It's been what, 6 weeks since release? Too early to judge.

This is one game I do like the look of and would like to play. The bad reports it has received have put me off. Great looking game though. I think around the £20 mark would be where I throw my steel helmet into the ring!

The negativity surrounding it is warranted sadly. I enjoyed the beta outside of the awful 4v4 and whatever the hell the pathetic objective game mode was.
This is nowhere near being a full price release. When you have games like Rocket League which have far more depth, no paywalls, etc for a fraction of the cost, this is daylight robbery.
And Ubisoft don't even provide servers for it, so once you're matched against someone wii a bad connection, which happens frequently, you have to put your controller down or quit.
The fact that Ubisoft also paid so many press people and twitch streamers to play the game nonstop and only say positive things leading up to launch says it all.

£10, some decent game modes apart from 1v1 and 2v2, and some dedicated servers, then I might bite.
Till then it's trash.

This the game that someone worked out it would take over 2 and 1/2 years to unlock everything from playing it alone (or you can spend £585 in micro transactions). Ubisoft's response was you are not suppose to unlock everything??? Gone are the days where you bought the game and got the complete game.
Recently Ubisoft has responded by updating For Honor’s currency system, increasing steel income by 25 percent across all matches. A map players liked is getting reinstated after Ubisoft removed it earlier this month and 12 outfits were added.
I purchased the Deluxe Edition day one and really recommend the game. It has a passionate community that love the game and are only boycotting for one day in the hope of forcing through change to make the game better. Apart from the bad press Ubisoft is getting, they have made a very good game.

Since For Honor’s February release, players have compiled a laundry list of complaints including multiplayer connectivity issues, imbalanced heroes, poor matchmaking, and combat glitches. Players have also pointed out that For Honor’s unbalanced in-game currency system makes it impossible to unlock all the items and emotes. The high price of items and frankly pitiful currency gains after matches proved especially frustrating for players, fueling a micro-transaction economy they were not thrilled about. - Kotaku

Those are steel cases (metalpak), not steelbooks. Steelbooks have a single plate for their spine.

best way to tell is steelbook has their logo printed inside, metalpaks feel very much like aluminium!

:confused: That is beyond my level of craziness dude. Hopefully you've dropped the addiction? (Nevermind that I do have 4 copies of metal gear 5 that I bought as different bundles... Standard, day one, collector, and bundled with my red PS4. :stuck_out_tongue: )

When it's good its amazing. However the pay to win elements seriously detract from it.

Pay to win? The vast, vast majority of unlockables are cosmetic, and even stat-altering equipment only offers customisation rather than improvement.
