What's their preowned stuff like? I've never heard of these guys before.

Only a couple of hours in but not particularly enjoying this so far.
Characters are all hugely unlikeable and the voice acting sucks balls.
Does it improve or should I just ditch it now?

it will definitely improve. have you enjoyed FF games before?
it quickly became one of my top 3 FF games and my most prized platinum trophy.

Just so you don't get your hopes up: no, it actually doesn't improve.

I enjoy it for the gameplay but yeah the characters are insufferable and the story is very weak.
Honestly if you hate these characters you should try and play FFXIII. Hope is without doubt the single worst character in video game history.

Same, I've only played for around 3 hours but finding it very hard to go back to. seems very clunky and unintuitive compared to most open world games. Luckily I only paid a tenner when it was on sale the other day so no great loss.

I recommend watching the 5 Brotherhood videos that Square Enix released before the game. See here...
They're not very long and did actually help me like the characters and get into the story more.
Same goes for the Kingsglaive film.

You forgot the horrible fast travel system , where at times you are forced to watch them driving for what seems like an eternity lol

The platinum is surprisingly easy to get.

Yep.
Played (and enjoyed) VI, VII, and IX.
This is my first FF since the PS1 -
perhaps I expected too much or I'm being harsh.
Played The Witcher 3 and although the character development/voice acting there wasn't always great, for the most part it was superb.
Compared to that, so far FF XV feels like I'm on a road trip with an irritating emo boy-band.
Pretty sure the characters in my party shouldn't make me want to punch myself in the face whenever they talk...
:disappointed:

I've used Gamecente twice. Won't use them again.

3 hours into a game that will take you 100+ hours to do everything? That doesn't include the recent DLC that just released and the rest of the updates that will be released in the future.
If its not for you I respect that but give the game a chance!
Heat for the price but I've had nothing but issues with gamecentre....might just be me though!

Yeah.
Good point.
But then if I'm finding gameplay this boring/repetitive and the characters so shallow and irritating early on I'm worried about investing any more hours into it.
Only have very limited gameplay time so every hour counts for me.
I suppose I was expecting to be blown away. And well... so far it blows.

Feeling the same. Haven't played one since final fantasy 7 but just can't buy into these characters or the real time combat. Moved onto persona 4 on the vita. £3.99 in the sale

First time I've played a FF game and loving it. In fact the first game I've really enjoyed for about a year.

For those who have little love for the Gamecentre and are looking for a cheap copy of this game may i suggest good old eBay. Numerous copy's from various sellers and many under £20!

I picked up steel book edition for 20. Could have gotten standard for a bit less.

Every quest I did seemed to be a fetch quest which they didn't even bother to flesh out with story.

Cheers!
I'll be honest.
Neither look very promising.
Perhaps I'm just a bit too old for this Final Fantasy lark now :disappointed:

I've just completed it. It took me about 15 hours to get into it, now it's one of my favourites! Played and completed VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, XII, XIII.
