Wow wish airports up north had £67 return flights! Will keep an eye out for price drops as Canaries is probably where we're looking to go.

Monarch have flights for Feb / March

I got a flight for March cheaper with Monarch ( £53 return ) Gatwick to Minorca ( I know it won't be hot )
Might be worth checking all prices on Skyscanner first?
Fuerteventura is showing as £67 return from Gatwick in March on Easyjet which is a better price than everywhere else and would have been less yesterday but I fancied something closer and a change from the Canaries for me but for Fuerteventura I would grab it now before the prices go up!!!
I might do the Canaries again the following year around Feb / March :sunglasses:

Personally i'd go for Lanzarote if you are thinking about the months of Jan-March. Neither can you guarantee the sun but it will be warmer in Lanzarote that time of year. I've been to the canaries many times during Jan-March and most of the time the weather has been sunny and around 20-26c which is much warmer than here or Majorca. As far as activities go it depends on his age. Mine are 5 and 9 and are quite happy with the kids club at the resort, the pool and the beach. If your child is young and you're flying from Southend which arrives in Lanzarote around 6pm maybe think about staying in Puerto Del Carmen or Matagorda as it's only 5 mins in a taxi and around 15 euro's.

After hours of sleep deprivation (including drifting off until I headbutted the laptop), decided that the Ryanair flights ALC to BFS are better (1 day earlier than I wanted, but slightly cheaper & late evening, compared to late morning which would likely mean a 7:30am pick up, so better travel times). :disappointed:

All booked at 7.20 this morning. Flight to Lanza for 1 adult and 2 kids from Southend half term (12th-19th as kids half teacher training day on the 19th) @ £171. You really have to keep trying from 7am onwards with the App and pc with any release date. Although my PC was saying not available when I booked the App let me proceed. Also booked a flight to Montengro last October for this June. Was on there 1st thing and booked flights at £280 for 4 people. Same flights now are £1,200. Another tip is to look at Norweign Air as their flights are released on a month by month (sometimes fortnightly) basis. Hope this helps.

Agree Ryanair is the king of the budget airlines. Any criticism can be slapped down with fact. Very professional, very fair, can't say a bad word about them really.

No longer true - ryanair has changed a lot - now relatively friendly & EasyJet are becoming nasty (removing free earlier flight home with no notice, etc.) - frankly I would take ryanair at the same price every time.

Easyjet>Ryanair!
Better seats, company actually seems to care for the customers more, the ryanair boss seems to actively spit in your face!

It has been as early as 3am - 4am, but of recent it has got later. 6am sounds about right (think I booked about 6:45 last time - having set alarm for 3am & checked until couldn't stay awake past 5am, I lost out :().

24 Apr 17#17
Athens x2, Alexander The Great Greece (Pella to Thessaloniki), Rome, Moscow, Barcelona (The best after London) Moscow was only £80 return via BA, but visa a word of hassle and £100, Barcelona under £100 return with accommodation on the finish straight only £16 all as a lone traveler...go for it...all started with park run at fat and fifty! link here

We missed these last year but managed to get the Vueling 4.99 Euro tickets to Alicante. Worth having a look if EJ get expensive. The leg room is a bit tight and check to see if the flights are direct or go via Barcelona.
