I just told them I was an existing customer, I was logged into the Dyson website at the time so maybe they could see that?

I have noticed today that they are offering a free spring cleaning kit with the V6 total clean.

Just got the V6 total clean & Free tool kit for £229, If anyone is looking for the Live chat it appears in yellow near the top right of the page, but it only appears when someone is available to chat, also to get this offer I believe you must be an existing customer which you just need to mention in the chat !

You cannot use the finance offer for this and they take payment straight away.

does anyone know where this was advertised so I know what to make reference to when calling please?

Just tried via live chat but "We do have an offer for existing customers where we often include a free toolkit however we cannot offer this to new customers I'm afraid."

I "quite honestly" and "literally" don't care whether you believe me or not but that's my experience. The fact you owned an earlier model that was hewn from granite is academic. I'm glad you believed me enough to change your mind on purchasing though. If I'd took one for a test run first I wouldn't have bought one either.

Dyson send everything separate. I was told the tool kit should arrive 5-7 days after the vacuum

Have you received the home cleaning kit as well? cause I've just received the DC40 without the kit.

I was literally just about to place an order for the DC41 Mk2 until I read this comment. Previously we have owned a DC1 and a DC27 and the DC27 compared to the DC1 was like chipboard vs mahogany, quite honestly I can't believe you thought the DC27 was "solid and made of unbreakable plastic", I can only assume you hadn't experienced the build quality of the early Dyson models.

As such if you think the DC40 is more fragile than the DC27 I wouldn't offer £100 for it let alone the discount price.

Thanks to the OP I managed to get a DC40 animal with toolkit for £199 which is a fair old saving on anywhere else so thanks for that :smiley: The ordering and delivery from Dyson were excellent too but I have to say that I'm disappointed with the feel of it. My old DC27 was solid and made of unbreakable plastic but the materials on the new one feel like they've come out of a Christmas cracker. Time will tell of course but it feels really flimsy in comparison :neutral_face:

Iam an existing customer, on the phone this morning was offered £10 off the V8 cordless and free fan, no toolkit! called back spoke to different person and was offered £20 off, free fan, 1/2 price for toolkit! I think it depends on the customer advisor you speak to, but to be honest not a great customer experience. I thought toolkit was free?

Just used the live chat - unwilling to add the free toolkit as its a promotion apparently for Existing customers only

dammit I just unpacked a new dc41 mk2 today..

I phoned for a V6, and asked if I qualified for any extra discount as I'm an online registered customer. Person I spoke to said there were no further discounts on V6, as they'd been substantially reduced already. Has anyone managed any discount on V6 animal?

edit: I contacted them via phone and they said it is for new customers as well so if you go through chat and they say it's for existing only then just call them.

If you have registered your guarantee online or ordered direct from dyson over the phone they will have your details otherwise not.

There's 4% cash back at TCB now which might help though you won't get it going via live chat or over the phone.

Hmmmm I'll be calling up tomorrow to complain then as they told me on the phone that this was definitely just for the V6 range....

I was kinda rushing as I didn't want to lose out and immediately called JL for a price match. Oh well, already got the tools anyway.. and to be honest, the only tool we use from that kit is the soft brush!

Now to try and sell our 8 year old DC25.. looks like they're going for peanuts now :disappointed:

Am tempted by the v8 due to the free fan

The V7 range are just going to be Replacing the V6 range over time with 30 minute battery instead of 20. 75% more brush bar power and easy emptying like on the V8.

The V8 will still be the premium model

Good spot, have ordered the V6 total clean and got the extra £20 discount and free tool kit. You can also get £20 off the V8 absolute bringing it down to £379. They will only give the extra £20 discount if you have previously registered a product with them.

Email had gone to my husbands office. I'd asked Dyson to change it from.what they had registered and they did for the order email but not the despatch so it should be here tomorrow!

I believe all the full length handheld come with the charging station.
You also get a no quibble 14 day free return incase you're unhappy

Swappped to a Shark Rocket True Pet, certainly cleans better than the Dyson, but it's not a cordless one.

I ordered the V6 Animal this afternoon via the live chat, I asked if they could throw in the tool kit and they did :-)

I am wondering if a much much better version is going to replace these not so practical cordless vaccum versions soon since these are going on sale everywhere although the sale price is very appealing I would wait. Hot deal though.
