Was gutted that I missed out on the Bosch B&Q deal but this seems good and i needed an impact driver anyway. Has good reviews

The combi drill features 15-position adjustable torque settings with screwdriving, drill driving and hammer settings for a wide range of applications. Cheap but it's a DIY brand these days. All my guys in trade tgawt use these they are forever breaking. My Milwaukee version of this set was around £280 I seem to remember but definitely the best power tools I have ever brought.

Most Dewalt comes with 3 year warranty so easy to get replaced if it breaks.

I've seen this deal on Screwfix, as well as the Bosch Drill, Impact Driver, 1.5a batteries and a bag for the same price.
I'm torn between an 18v kit or a 10.8v kit for light DIY use, with a power drill for heavier use.

As one who spends quite a lot of time working overhead I would second this. A 12v Milwaukee with a 2Ah battery is a joy to use in comparison to some of the kit i used to use 6 or 7 years ago

I was thinking more of, 2ah batteries. Before there appeared to be alot of 1.3ah batteries. Some larger batteries can actually deliver more current and therefore more torque is produced by the drill (depends on manufacturer).
But i totally agree. There is a Bosch combi drill with one 4ah battery, but it looked to bulky to me

the combi drill isn't great and 70 minutes charger is very poor for only 1.5ah batteries.
do you really need an impact driver?

Used these for over a year renovating a 19C house, good for the price but the batteries are pretty poor, I bought a pair of off brand 4ah ones from Amazon or £60 which have transformed them and the 1.3ah ones are handy backups

i have a feeling anything with 1.5ah batteries are being phased out

There is a world of difference between using a power tool for a long time with a light battery vs a heavy one. i would rather have a few lighter ones than one really heavy one. By all means have a heavy one for when it is really needed, but you will absolutely notice the difference in your arms with prolonged usage.
Many pros will now tell you that for lighter jobs they are often using 10.8v kit as the newer stuff is still very powerful, but very very light by comparison.

Great deal for the DIY'er and far cheaper than buying the items seperately. An inpact driver come into it's own when having to bury longer screws within harder wood or knots. Shame the batteries are not higher capacity, and the motors are not brushless, but for £150 you cannot expect pro-specs.

The impact driver is pretty good, use it as a pro sparks constantly and has lasted 2 years. However, the drill is pretty dire. Battery not the best, but adequate for DIY. Would suggest a better drill with a better battery for the same price and forget about the impact driver. Still hot deal though.
