This machine is going for £500 or more everywhere else and to get the £150 off couldn't be simpler. We traded in a battered old Philips filter machine with a European plug on it so they really will accept anything to trigger the deal.
If you haven't got an old machine lying around you can always pick up a cheapo filter machine for under £20 in the usual places if you want to take advantage.
There's also a £45 gift thrown in which you claim online but I haven't done that yet so not sure what's included but the store assistant told me it's water filters and decalk packs.

Yes, and i put up with that for 3 years - but try doing that for 4 people. It becomes boring very, very quickly... especially when something that the sage barista express is not much more expensive.

You're not reading the words right cherub.

The model at Currys is a much better deal.
What's with all this 'Your opinion isn't valid because you haven't posted any deals' nonsense? It's pathetic.

Did I actually say anyone's opinion wasn't valid? No
Did I say this was better than any other deal then? No
Do I go around claiming to be Saint Charles the patron saint of helping people when my actions tend to suggest the exact opposite? No
So just to clarify, if those three no's make me pathetic in your eyes I can definitely live with that flower :man: now run along and find another thread to stick your oar in to if you're that bored at the minute.

If you're such a kind and compassionate soul whose only motivation is to go around helping people surely you would be posting your own deal rather than being petty diging other people's deals out? :smirk:

so helping people that are reading this thread with a cheaper deal, better spec, not needing a trade in is surely more helpful than your petty reply.

I really shouldn't bite and feed the trolls but what the hell......
Well HUKD's very own Douwe Egberts just open yourself up a coffee shop and if you make a roaring success of it which I'm sure you will you'll be able to afford the telly to go with the broadband next time you ring up Virgin for a deal eh :smirk:
Coming from someone who has been on here nigh on a decade yet never posted a single deal, priceless.

point is that it's a better model and at a cheaper price so a better deal

just be aware that all delonghi machines have the same brewing internals - all the difference is the manual/computer control panel. Having said that, it produces fantastic espresso - however (and the reason i upgraded) was that the espresso shot is too small for the average British cup as an americano or latte. Even a 200ml cup was slightly weak (not enough coffee) but the espresso quality was very good..

Eh? You just have multiple shots if its too small.

She makes a gorgeous cup of coffee in 30 seconds flat, still very much a novelty having spent the last three decades slaving around with cafetieres or waiting an eternity for the filter machine to brew one up whilst stumbling about with your mincers still half shut

Might only take 30 seconds but I can spend £40 and make a far better cup of coffee than that machine.

EDIT Just checked and this was, that looks like a better deal?
Nah it don't, we ended up buying a Dualit one in John Lewis for a tenner but you can get De'Longhi branded ones off their site direct for 11 quid odd but they charge a ching delivery too.
The code worked on Thursday online, it definitely should work

You're right, although it says you can apply the code at checkout. I'd contact customer services. I nearly pulled the trigger, the code not working has brought me back to my senses, LOL.

Sorry for any confusion but it does state you have to trade in an old coffee machine at the small electrical dept in store so it never even crossed my mind there was an online method of purchase when I saw the offer.
i just called up customer services on Thursday to confirm I could trade in our old style filter percolator I bought when I lived in Austria.
When they said yes I could I reserved one at the Nottingham branch and drove up there yesterday afternoon with the old machine and grabbed it.

Ignore the £303 price tag because we got it with staff discount as my missus is a partner but you can see the £150 trade in was deducted just like that when we handed over our 5 year old filter machine.
