Cheapest it has ever been I believe! Currys have dropped the price to £1599 and with code LSTV100A brings it down £1499
B6 is also the same price if you don't like the curve and aren't fussed about 3D.

I'm tempted to go for C6 so I tried different codes and it worked! £150 off with LSTV150A.
The thing is:
£50 off: LSTV50A for TVs that cost £500+
£75 off: LSTV75A for TVs that cost £750+
£100 off: LSTV100A for TVs that cost £1000+

I had to call them earlier as I placed my order earlier in the week for deliver tomorrow. Eventually agreed to refund the £100 difference.

I am really happy with it for gaming. Fast paced football games like Fifa and HDR games like Mass effect Andromeda are perfectly playable. The input lag is around 34ms which seems fine for me and I don't notice the delay. Obviously the Samsung and the new OLEDs have better input lag but this seems good enough.
I never wanted a curved TV but I actually really like it especially for movies and it still looks good. Wallmounted it sticks out 10cm at widest point. The 3D on this is mind blowing I came from a Passive 3D 1080p set but this is so much better.
They price matched the C6 I bought last weekend for £100 off.
jimx26 to Sideeffects
22 Apr 17#12
I was the same. I was going to go for the B6 as really not fussed about the curve but the better processor and 3D swung it for me and after seeing it on the flesh the curve is very subtle.
I think value for money wise the C6 is the one to go for.
jimx26
22 Apr 17#11
I presume all the cold votes are down to the price? I don't think this or the B6 can be bought brand new with 5 yr warranty anywhere cheaper elsewhere?
Sideeffects
22 Apr 172#13
Yes must be the price this is the best deal on this set so should be hotter. It slightly concerns me that the price did drop again so soon. Perhaps it will still drop further but I don't see how as at this price point it's competing with mid range 2017 LCD's that are nowhere near as good.
I bought it because I was worried they would all sell out and I wanted a good new 3D TV before they get phased out.
Spikecast
22 Apr 171#14
I also went for the C6, amazing TV imo. I wanted it for the same reasons, the 3D and it has the better chipset made by LG where as the B6 is a third party realtek chipset.

I was in the shop in warrington yest bud so its kinda not gibberish unless the sales team lied to me but the fact he was honest enough to tell me to buy the c not the b made me think he wad an honest bloke.....

22 Apr 17#17
It's the chipsets that are different and not the panels. The C6, E6 and G6 use a different chipset from the B6.
However the general consensus is still that the C6 chipset is preferable over the B6 unless you totally despise curved screens, so even with the mistake over chipset/panel MD were still correct.

The LG chipset seems to get faster firmware updates and possibly might get more future support from LG but we will see. The Realtek chipset has lower input lag in HDR game and normal game mode.

I've just ordered the Samsung UE65KS9000 from
JL for £2k with free sound bar but had been looking at the LG OLED65C6V, with the extra £100 off its now £2599 - which do you think is a better set?
jimx26 to evangeli0n
22 Apr 17#23
Both good sets. Sammy has better brightness so will be better for HDR. The downside to this is light leak and blooming in HDR mode.
The C6 will give superior blacks and contrast.
Prime_specter to evangeli0n
22 Apr 17#24
The KS9500 isn't too far off that price mark, I would consider purchasing that over the KS9000 and even the C6V. It's really good for an LCD similar to the KS9000 but has full aray back light. so it'll go brighter than most TVs on the market plus it'll have better black levels than the KS9000.

Just saw on the LG website they are giving blueray player or Soundbar if you purchase an OLED tv from 26/04/2017. I bought mine on the 24th so when i spoke with LG they said the offer does not apply to me :disappointed: They havn't put up a list of retailers yet it seems. See below link
Thanks for this. Really tempted now. Could you not return and re-purchase it again with yours. I am sure the retailer will be able to do this considering there is nearly £300 at stake. Good luck.

Can anyone help me as I really want to make a decision on this tv. I know the 3D is amazing and 4K is great even 1080p but my main viewing is nowtv in 720p and will be for some time. I watched c6v 65 with very big expectation. But the text and images are not crisp and sharper as i thought. Even on the main screen apps text looks not crisp. Could it be to the settings and calibration? Now could not decide if should go for it. But now I prefer only curved screen.
