Girona airport is 100km from Barcelona! Not sure why they can call it Barcelona Girona!

Probably just to make it easier for people booking to understand without having to refer to a map. I believe that the common budget airlines travel to either Reus or Girona, both are the same distance away from Barcelona and it's roughly an hours drive, which is no different to a lot of resorts with regards to the time it takes to get there from your destination airport.

Girona is nicer than Barcelona anyway and definitely handier for the Costa Brava.
