Some bad comments on here quite rightly so but somebody must be liking it at 562% heat just goes to show the average members palate.

This is a deal site frequented by many people who may be on a tight budget so this surprises you?? In general people who eat free range, butchers cut meat 7 days a week don't need to browse here... So this deal is bad but it's ok to post deals for hungryhouse? . This deal isn't for you. No need to insult the 'average members'. vote cold and jog on.

The problem here is that SFC food is so unutterably monstrous. I try (emphasis on 'try') to eat reasonably healthily and restrict fried chicken to an occasional treat, but even so I find the prices at KFC to be barmy. So I've tried pretty much every permutation of 'fake KFC' there is, and I think it's safe to say that SFC is among the worst of them. Coating that drops off as you open the bag, or worse falls off in the fryer and writes off the oil, chicken that is GREY underneath the coating, rib portions that have dubious looking bits attached to them.... I don't want SFC to be cheaper. I want it to be better quality.

Even a chicken cottage takeout looks more tempting and healthy than this selection of lard!

They used to be branded items, now it's 3 co-op own brand, the cheapest non co-op branded chicken and the cheapest Cadbury ice cream. Did prefer them before but now our co-op's shut we'll have to branch out to find one.

This is what my lard comment was about. Used to be good products. Now it's the cheapest stuff they can find in the Coops inventory.

SFC is the most disgusting store bought chicken I've ever tasted/smelled. My flatmate got it in first year (and he generally would eat anything) and after cooking a batch in the oven me and the other flatmates were asking him if he was cooking a box of smokes because it smelt like a tobacco factory. Upon trying the disgusting nuggets and fillets and feeling rather sick they entire batch was quickly disposed of.

You are supposed to cook them out of the box and on a baking tray

I don't eat peas, and thanks to these deals I will never need to buy them again.
To those slagging off the deal - we're not suggesting you eat this every day. But it's a lot cheaper than a takeaway and about as quick.
