Infinity Ward, the award-winning studio that helped create the blockbuster Call of Duty franchise, reaches new heights with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
At its core, Infinite Warfare returns to the roots of the franchise where cinematic, immersive storytelling takes center stage as told through an unfolding large-scale war and epic battles that deliver an authentic Call of Duty experience.
Delivering a rich and engaging narrative in a setting unlike anything to date in a Call of Duty game, the campaign is a return to the franchise's gritty, military roots throughout new environments never before seen in the franchise.
The player will embark on a classic war story about grand scale warfare; all set in a grounded future where human conflict has spread throughout our solar system.

I think they got it well before Infinite Warfare was released to be fair. Hence why Modern Warfare is bundled with Infinite Warfare behind sneaky paywall tactics

They still have not got it. No-one wants infinite warfare, everyone wants the remaster of modern warfare separately. Heat for the price though.

As others have said, they definitely knew people wouldn't want IW and that's why they didn't sell MWR on its own. I'll wait until its £20 as the servers will stay packed until MW2 remaster comes out.

Annoyingly it's a very good buisseness strategy. Making you pay for something you don't want.

The problem is everyone has been and bought it too, which means they'll only try this trick on again... :disappointed:

I think it was around 28-29 last month, the deal was on here iirc.
No they didn't - it bombed commercially. Sold less than half Black Ops 3

Ah, PS4 only though? Makes sense given you can't resell MW (not that you'd want to). Waiting for Game to drop it below £30 and I'll use my credit, but until then, no rush!

They should release MWR @ £34.99 and see how many people choose to buy just the one game.
And not the trash that is IW.

Yeah what a great idea. Release MWR @ £34.99 - the exact same price you can already buy it for now - with a load less content and no Infinite Warfare. That makes total business sense and doesn't sound mental at all!

I really loved world at war, would love a release of that. Loved having to earn the scopes for the snipers.

Wouldn't be surprised once the IW sales have dried up (Which is happening) that they then release MWR on disc and digital on its own... easy money.

still waiting for MWR to be sold separately :-)

Says a lot for the rest of the industry if the top selling game of the year (2nd in UK) bombed....

Well I meant "bombed" in terms of expectations of Activision. Even they admitted it didn't "resonate with fans"...

I wish people would wake up and smell the coffee, do you really understand what is happening here? Good business is not ripping people off or misleading them, good business is not making people buy something they dont want! Good business is just selling a good product what poeple want for a fair price, what the hell is going on here! We are being robbed of our ideas and our money by big corporate money hoarders and most people dont have a problem with it! Helllllooooo....Mcfly.....wayyykeee...wayyykeee...we as the consumer have the power to control what sells and what doesnt, stop giving them credit and any of your hard earned money and think before you buy stuff! Give credit where its due and support good business not gangsters and fraudsters! Power to the people!!!
