It appears to "offend" a certain section of the population. Last time I checked, the UK was a Christian country.

Grrrhh, why is there no mention of Easter on the packaging? Does the word "Easter" really offend people?

We are not buying any eggs without Easter written on them in our house this year.
First they will move the word Easter to the back, then underneath, then nowhere... and then Easter will be forgotten, as they want.

Then maybe we should stop celebrating it & all start fasting for a month instead during daylight hours.

Over 1000 calories for the egg alone - of course, I only noticed this after I ate it.....

I'd be more concerned about the true meaning and values of Easter and Christianity are being ignored, rather than how often the word is idly slapped on wrappers in order to increase sales of cheap chocolate products.

We have a large 278g Cadbury crunchie Easter egg for £2 at Asda, the medium Cadbury Easter eggs are £1 each and weigh between 128g-140g. I'd prefer 2 mediums instead of one large because at least then you can mix & match!

The best Easter Egg bargains so far were the Buy 2 Get 2 Free at Tesco a few weeks back - £3 for four.

Hot - even though there's not an Asda store within a 30 mile radius of where I live. :disappointed:

My theory is, If you can get 100g of a decent chocolate for £1 then that is a very good buy, here we are getting 278g for £2 so in my opinion that is a BARGAIN! And heat.

so you get 2 bars which is 50p (when on offer) so you're paying £1.50 for the egg. Doesn't seem like a bargain to me then again I guess this is the best price you'd get nowadays
