No and it isn't wireless either but both for £7 FFS. I don't like quick charge anyway and only use it if I'm desperate as I reckon it heats up my battery too much and will shorten its life.

The one in my kids room seems fine charges two iphones a computer keyboard and a couple of vtech watches no buzzes perfect for me for the price and no pooping sound when powered up. For this price if anything becomes dodgy with it I will bin it.

It's called inrush current, and most small power supplies are the same I'm afraid. You just tend to notice when the connection is made by plugging in a figure of 8 lead, rather than switching on a socket.

First impressions last.
Electronics are pretty predictable, we are not talking rocket science. There are numerous electrical engineering practises that could have been applied to stop a spark generating in the first place.
I would have opened it up for a closer inspection but had to return the item as was for them to investigate.
My point is, clearly they do not fully apply the safest electrical methods or they have a bad QC team. Either way, I would rather spend £15 £20 on an Anker product with a reliable track record.
Not all items for sale have a cheap alternative.
I'm not willing to risk plugging in my electrical items or setting my house on fire for a few quid.
There's a big difference between saving money and ignorance

Plenty of ignorance going on here: equating expense with reliability for a start.

Nope, wasn't a one off. I plugged the power in and big spark from the back of the unit. Amazingly it still worked. Tried it again, same result. No chance this is staying in my house. Returned for refund and will never buy this brand again.

Not for me: there are promotions for 50% off three batteries, but not for a free 60W 6-port charger.

Mine isn't buzzy. Watts = volts x amps. Volts = 5, watts = 60 so amps = 12. Individual outlets are rated at 3A but you won't be able to draw over 12A in total.

Can only get a £7.99 discount on the QC car charger. So £10.99 for me, not £6.99 as per OP.

The 6 port charger has been dispatched so I didn't bother messing about it looks a lot chunkier than my one anyway

5 Apr 17#29
It's chunky and it's heavy. Unless they've filled it with sand, it's got a decent amount of iron and copper in it.

Don't have much faith in this brand or product
Hopefully was just a one off

That's bound to happen in some cases - it's called the bathtub curve. You can't judge a whole brand, let alone a product, on a sample of one.

Have a 5 port adaptor already for over a month all seems to work no weird noises but someone did test it and found it wasn't massively powerful and maybe not up to par with power on the outputs but this for me is only for iPhones so doesn't really matter
