5* Utterly useless Reviewed by Glenn on 04/09/2016 This is the worst price of technology gadgetry I've ever bought.
It worked fine for the first couple of days.
Now it's useless, despite many reboots and resetting
It constantly freezes.
No matter how many times I turn of sync to google, it still beeps with reminders.
The phone never rings ! Phoning it, just rings out from the phone dialling it.
Nothing happens when trying to make a call from it.
What a piece of ****.

You must be new, that offer is 7 weeks old, which is a lifetime on HUKD. As the saying goes, "You snooze, you lose"

What we really need is a dect to gsm interface, so that you could use a mobile on a landline. You'd kinda need your own personal cell tower

I bought these a while back. from BT. It kept losing connection and I won't able to make or receive calls, had to turn off and on - I believe these are refurbs, so you can't really complain about them

Wish I didnt have to. Only is used for one family member the mrs has that lives abroad so that it doesnt cost them a fortune. Tried explaining Whatsapp (now they have the internet) but apparently tok confusing! Anyways locked into another 12months with BT with deal on here last month (Though still not got my £200 Voucher in post)
Home phones will be redundant soon I reckon. Just no real need when mobile contracts are cheap and coverage is getting better. Once they have mobile battery that lasts more than a few days then job done!

Starting to get that way.
It will be turned off soon (well 2025) anyway, no point in investing in much anymore, unless you're happy with ATA to VoIP type gateways which aren't all that great.

I believe we cant go wrong for the price. Bought one will debloat and have a look maybe there is a chance to upgrade. Know nothing about hardware specs but reviews stating the call quality is super. I will just use for normal phone calls so shouldn't be so bad.

Different technologies make no difference, the problem with the UK mobile phone system is the lack of masts and the fact that operators don't share masts. Albania and Peru were ranked above the UK for 4G coverage.

OneClickRoot should work if anyone interested. Maybe after there is a chance to take control. https://www.xda-developers.com/one-click-root-in-2016/ https://www.oneclickroot.com/bt-home-smartphone-s-ii/
I could be wrong, but I think 4.2 has unfixed vulnerabilities. I seem to remember that 4.4.2 is the earliest version that anyone can be confident in.
If anyone's thinking, "Yeah, but it's just a landline phone, what could possibly go wrong?" Premium rate silent calls, to start with. And then, it's a gateway to the rest of your network and the devices you have attached to it.
Great price, but risk averse people might want to skip this deal.

it should be good for the money, using at home as a dect yeah, never mind 4.2 android what security updates should have, anyway heat from me

reading spec no bluetooth, but has headphone socket, tempted I think like malm. I could use this as media player over network wonder if it would take plex player. but more useful that other dogles for same price as a music player.
