I bought one of the Anker (A3143) speakers - pile of tosh with a hollow sound unless you are directly (and I mean directly) in front of it.

Me too I vote for the actual product. for example if you post a BMW, I wont vote you cold and say a ford focus is cheaper lol.
The Bose has 2 years warranty too. to the ordinary user it will sound great. and people complaining about mono and stereo. blue tooth speakers are so small anyway there no great stereo benefits from small twin speaker units.

Yeah it's inevitable on here - not sure what people don't get about a deal being hot for the price.

If it's a generic product, sure judge away, but it is a premium brand and whether or not the quality is better or worse than something else is always a subjective opinion - votes need to be on the basis of "can you get it cheaper?"

That's how I vote anyway. I've heard the speaker in the Bose shop on Regent St. and I was happy - it's not as good as the HK Esquire 2, but it'll go some way as a stopgap if nothing else for the moment.

That would explain why Bose had a clearout a while back and Amazon has been doing the same... not a bad speaker - I missed out on the HK Esquire 2 so this will have to do.

yep new version, its water proof and rubberised but similar looking but more square.
why would anyone need to leave a speaker out in the rain?
