Decent price. I've seen some nicely scaped Biorbs, with some moss, rocks and shrimp they look pretty cool. As been said, obvs no fish.

Not surprised, they're not designed for that amount of fish, as in volume.
Keep within their limitations and these are easy to look after. Ignore the instructions regarding maintenance and read up on fish forums that know about these things, rather the usual lot that have popped up on here again, you'll save a packet and have a trouble free experience.

It should be illegal to sell these for housing fish, same with goldfish bowls.

spot on, I hate these things, way too much hard work for a cheaply made but expensive fad that often ends up with dead fish etc because it's just too small and has poor filtration. So, for a few shrimps, yes, even a couple of WCM like in the picture, but nowt else.

Its worth noting that small tanks are harder to run and should be left for more experienced keepers. The small amount of water makes water quality issues happen fast.

Thanks for the advice, looking for something to fit on my desk so can't really have anything too big. Just planning to have a single betta with a small cleanup Crew like a couple of shrimps & snails

We had the bigger version of this a few years ago, very high maintenance and more hassle than it was worth.

People always think they should get a small starter tank, but it's nearly always better to get one just that little bit bigger. Also external pumps are a must in the long run (In my opinion) although may be overkill for a tiny tank.
Recommend buying one second hand on ebay or similar if your looking to save money, you will normally get a large amount if gear thrown in too.

Bought my daughter the square 20l one and forgot how loud the pumps are bought an Eheim pump quite expensive at £20 but can now use the tank the pumps that come with this need to be thrown away horrible things just need to get one for the 60l in the loft which ended up their because of the noise it made

These aren't nicknamed The Globes Of Death for nothing , like said plants and Shrimps Ok , Fish No Way . A fairly expensive noisey ornament .

Had a baby for 15 years, keeping a couple of minnows in it with some rocks and decent fake plants, use it as a table lamp in the lounge. Is starting to look a bit second hand, still using a halogen bulb and was thinking of getting an led top and second power supply so i can add the light to Home Assistant, so getting one to replace it. Along with the £5 for using the app I consider it a bargain, thanks OP.

we started with 3 mollies(Fatty, Blacky and the other one). The fat one I picked gave birth to 26 babies the next week within a month the big ones died because of too many fish I suppose. that was the third attempt over a 10 year span. The babies grew and then died off as well.

I had the 30l one for one gold fish. The filtration is Awful! Even though I bought all the recommended accessories, filtration rocks etc. Turned into stinking cabbage water every few days! Ended up building a pond in the garden for said goldfish, got him some friends and ended up with a ton of baby goldfish over the years!

I have a 30l and have given up with real fish. It is after all an ornament.
