Nier is quality but yer if you don't like the spectacle fighting side then maybe you won't. I just would have thought you'd find this a breeze if you finished the souls games. They were 10x harder than Bayonetta to me.

I don't mind some mastery (did all bosses on soulsborn games and nioh solo) , but as this game is very hack and slashy I found it hard and not fun to focus on waiting half a second in the middle of a combo before pressing the next button which is never an issue in souls games as if you start pressing too much your dead . I had the same problem with metal gear revengance , it's kinda a shame as I really want to play nier but know I almost certainly won't like it

God forbid the game requires some sort of mastery of it's systems. Dunno how you found this harder than DS or Nioh tbh.
I got Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U. Kinda enjoyed it at first but the crotch shots and sexualised content made me feel like I was playing a game aimed at 12 yr old boys. Gave up after 4 hours.

I didn't mind the story but the gameplay . For me the problem is the fighting requires you to pull off very timing reliant combos which I just found to be a pain whilst trying to focus on everything else that is going on . And without mastering the timing of the combos everything is an unkillable sponge .
And I do like Hardish games like dark souls and nioh but this game was unfunly hard
