I'm not voting cold, but the toaster might as well be. We had this model and it must be the slowest toaster in the world. A magnifying glass on a cloudy day would be faster. Absolutely cannot recommend this.

These look horrible, they have a rough to touch matt paint finish. Black comes through in places paint isn't as thick. Returned mine straight after Looking at it I can imagine crumbs getting caught easily by the rough paint as well. It may make good toast but didn't get far enough to test.

Worst toaster ever. Takes forever and then randomly burns your toast. Buy this for someone else if you hate them.

Had one of these. Two bob. Same element as all the cheapos, just dressed nicer. Their kettle are also rubbish quality, don't last.

Bought one of these last week and the kettle, works fine for me, toasts quick, looks great. Kettle boils quick too. Wouldn't pay the 85 quid rep but seems great for 30 :smiley:
Even on the highest setting, it doesn't toast very well and the metal support on one side broke on ours after 14 months. Wouldn't buy one again.
Just my opinion.

I thought the wattage gave some indication how quick a toaster was - the Argos site says it's 1600W :neutral_face:

Had this toaster for years great brand and looks good in the kitchen. When we first got it everyone commented on it. Easy to clean, toasts and looks good - what more do you want?!

Also had this toaster for years, and it recently didn't eject the toast I got to it just before it caught fire but the house was smoked out for a day. Nice when it worked though!
