Not sure why Acer is getting so much hate? I have been using the same Acer laptop (Acer Aspire 5750G) since 2012 with no problems.

ME TOO! My 7730G from april 2009 still working fine!
Had HP but when fan broke after 1 day I have sent it back (never ever).
Read about Dell that has crap build like HP so ACER is the only choice.

Both codes mentioned in this thread are not valid when I tried to use them.

Looks ok if the integrated graphics is not a problem. For games etc, I'd go for a for a variant with gtx 950

Price seems alright, wouldn't touch Acer with a barge pole though.

would avoid acer as a laptop manufacturer tbh
also the amazon review for the Aspire F5-573G-57BB (a slight different variant) seems to suggest that the monitor is not great. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Aspire-F15-15-6-Inch-Notebook/dp/B01N7QTH32
seems like the Aspire F5-573G-57BB variant has a GTX 950 graphics card, not sure about this model (F5-573)
Personally I will be waiting for laptops with 1050 graphic cards to lower down in price since I am not in a hurry to buy a laptop

Good deal. Great price for the specs, no obvious weak point - decent processor, RAM and 1080p.
Review here. Only thing I'd note is that awful TN panel. The rest is good.

In terms of £ for spec, it's sadly a good deal. Got the same in 2012 - i5, 8GB, Clevo chassis - Samsung brand. The hardware architecture has improved but that aside I'm waiting for the laptop market to be resuscitated.

I'd normally avoid Acer (budget models badly made) but this has a 2 year warranty so not bad.
