I'm an existing customer and just got this deal (plus 500min to 0845/0870 numbs) for £11.
30day 4G sim. It's worth giving them a ring, they're so kind when you say you're tempted by BT.

How did you manage that I was told by 3 different staff that I could not have 0870 with 4g no matter what. Even offered to pay extra on top so I cancelled my new sim and asked to stay on my inclusive 0870 deal even though I only get 3g.

After a mix up due to my SIM not getting processed, I've got this for £9 p/m as long as I don't change the tariff.

Been with them on the previous tariff for only 2 months, called up and asked for PAC number and they asked why I was thinking of leaving, told them about the EE deal that was posted Here on HUKD and that it was cheaper and about the data I needed, they said they would see what they could do, 2 mins later offered me 6GB 4g Data with rollover for £6/m

How long were you with them and what did you do to get the retention deal out of them?
Gone for this so I can keep my EE number that's going to finish in a week and check out offers for another sim.

.... Ah, nice timing. This looks like more for less, especially considering my BT Infinity is due to go live, well today. Thank you and Good Bye Virgin. Thank you and Hello BT.
I was paying £6pm (with £6pm loyalty discount) for the £12pm Virgin Essential tariff. I asked to be put on the triple data 6GB 4G data with 2500 min for £6pm (as it was also £12pm and if my £6pm loyalty discount was carried through would net at £6pm). They didn't agree. They did make some counter offer but happily gave me my pack code.
The annoying thing about Virgin has been, when they give you your pack code, they also effectively put you on 30 day notice so if you don't use your pack code within the 30 days, you loose your current package and are on a Virgin PAYG. I said no, I'm not giving my 30 day notice, but they still sent out a text to say: "We've just cancelled your Essential tariff. So, from 04/05/2017 you'll be back on your chosen PAYG tariff."
I was not 100% on leaving Virgin, but I think such behaviour should deserve them the title of the nasty network. Already ported one line away from them. Next one due to be ported out very soon.

How is the VM coverage/quality these days. Left last year when they double the cost of my unlimited tariff. I've been with ID since and have been pleased with the service :man:

No issues so far, 4G connection speeds consistently within the range of 21 - 28Mbit across the Greater Manchester area.

Long gone are the days where you pay different rates to call other networks, or your free minutes allowance only counts towards calls on the same network.

Aren't all contracts 'any network minutes' these days?

Last month the tele sales offered this with 6 GB of data, I got one but cancelled it later since the coverage at my office is not good.

Great deal which I have just purchased. Thanks OP
Does anyone know if the SIM is activated upon the day you buy it or the day you put it in your phone and turn it on?

Sim activates and billed from the day you place the order.

Glad I went for the 20gb rollover for £15 when I did. Love it and currently have 39gb to use in 15 days or else I'll carry that over too...

I think only 20gb will roll over as your unused data does not roll over twice,

Just signed up for this one. Was paying O2 £12.62 a month for 600 minutes and 750MB, seems like a much better deal for 38p more.
To be honest i've had enough of O2 anyway, local mast near me has been down for nearly 2 years and i hardly ever get a signal at home and you can guess how much compo i got from O2 in that time. Can't wait til tomorrow when i call them and tell them where to stick their contract.

There were better deals from Virgin posted a few days ago both new and retention.
