Good luck make sure you offer him a tea and tell him/her how much you have improved your property as compared to your neughbours ..i think it also helps if you edit your properties details on companies like zoopla and rightmove as i think most of these banks use their figures.

Do you have a number for them? Thanks

Remortgage valuation booked for next Tuesday. Conveyancer (LMS) was appointed at the start of the week but didn't hear from them so called up the conveyancing firm yesterday after which they provided login for their Trackmycase website and also arranged for valuation.

Why do they have to come out and have a nosey? No such hassle when my 5 year ( with a major high street bank) came through last year, they simply used an estimated property value ( not sure where that came from either!)

This is a question for those who have been contacted for valuation step...
I've just got the DIP text message and activation code for the app. What is the next stage? How long till Atom Bank contacted you to arrange the valuation visit?

Help please...
My remortgage application was submitted on 19th Apr @10pm (before midnight) by "MortgageSimplicity", immediately I received automatic email confirmation from atom bank about confirmation of submission..
Does anyone know how long it will take to get the activation code via SMS/email for atom app ?
Thanks for your help

My application was submitted on the 13th, and I just received the DIP and app activation code today. It was over the bank holiday weekend though. So I would guess about 3-5 working days?

Any idea if this is still available? Pondering sucking up a 2% ERC to move from 2.34% fixed for another 2yrs (so broadly balances out I suppose)

Hey guys,
We've been going through L&C and got told not to bother applying for the Atom Bank mortgages after my employment history only goes to 2 years 11 months of employment with a few years out through an accident, whilst my partner has been in 5+ years employment in her job and moved up bands. We got a mortgage having only just started my new job a few years ago so am a bit miffed.
The criteria for their mortgage is an outline of 3 years of employment history with 3 months in the current job and 12months continuous in employment.
Are they BS'ing me or what? I literally started my role on 14.05.14 and can't believe the broker has told me not to apply because it would fail the credit check.

My case proves you totally wrong: - spoke to Mortgage Simplicity on 14 April and sent required documents the same evening - remortgage application submitted on 15 April, got Decision in Principle within 1 hour - Atom assigned conveyancer and valuation on 16 April - got a call from valuation company in the morning 18th and local guy came over same week on 21st - Atom assessed and approved our paperwork on 20 April - Valuation report submitted today so we expect final decision this week. After all I don't think this is bad in any way. And I didn't need to leave the house

I pointed my broker in this direction last Wednesday, he has now told me they have pulled the rate. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

True. They did have a 1.34% rate instead but can't see it mentioned on London & Country......

Have you been able to view your valuation report in 'The Vault' yet? We had our report submitted yesterday so just wondered how long it takes before you can view it.

I have the opposite issue...App went to valuation stage about 5 days ago, and not had a call or anything from the valuation company. I even called L&G, and they haven't received anything from the system yet. Been chasing my broker but he hasn't heard anything from Atom either :disappointed:

i called atom they say all communication skills be via broker and broker says no info it looks like its gonna be long and painful wait. which i don't mind as far as i know they will approve the remortgage.

28 Apr 17#24
Looks that way, same with my broker. They can't see any updates in the portal. My broker has been informed that queries/questions sent to the Atom team will take 48 hours or more... just to get an answer or update!

I'm still waiting for my valuation to be scheduled! The app says the valuation stage since Saturday, but 6 days later and nothing... broker says they're still "checking documents", and they have not heard back.

Sorry I don't know who it was, they maybe told me when they phoned but can't recall what it is. They contacted me the day or day after my mortgage was agreed in principle. There is nothing in the app or on any email i have got about who it is doing the valuation.

I just had a very interesting call with my broker.
They were updated by Atom that the valuation has been completed - but no-one had contacted me to arrange access to the property, and no-one contacted the agent either!
My broker said its not unusual for there to sometimes be just a "desktop valuation" done. FYI the property I'm buying was built just 10 years ago.
Has anyone else who applied for an Atom mortgage had this too? No visit, just a "desktop valuation"?
FatalSaviour
2 May 17#32
I had a "proper" valuation - the bloke turned up and spent an hour roaming around the property - including going into the Loft etc. I guess it will depend on what each valuer's appetite is, but I got the valuation report showing in my Vault about a week after it had been done.

I had a "proper valuation" too on 24th April for a remortgage application, text received on the same day to notify that Atom Bank have received my valuation but no more updates since then I can't see any valuation report in the vault either. Has anyone got past the valuation stage as yet?
It took Atom just over a week to complete valuation report (this was showing as submitted on 25 April) and upload it to my app. Remortgage offer arrived yesterday, we have accepted and we are in Completion stage. Not bad turnaround for 2.5 weeks and I hope solicitors won't drag this for too long

If I've understood this correctly, you are saying that if you have have had any break in employment in the past 3 years, you weren't eligible? You pass on the criteria of 12 months continuous employment and 3 months in current job, so presumably it's the 3 year thing that blocks you and actually means 3 years employment in the past 3 years (I'm assuming from your 'few years out' statement that you had previously held employment at some point more than 3 years ago).

Hi all could anyone of you guide me please my broker has already provided the bank with documents such as IDs but the solicitors are asking for them again and they want certified copies, is it normal?
also how did you chose to tranfer the fund is it via bank transfer (TT) or cheque, it seems atom banks solicitor will be charging 30 quid plus VAT for that.

Anyone else having issues with Atom bank not progressing quickly or giving misleading information?
Just been told by my broker yesterday that Atom Bank had verbally confirmed they were issuing an offer - only to be told this morning they discovered a "system error" and no offer is forthcoming - I have to go back to valuation stage!
Really upset and not quite sure what to do in such a bizarre situation. Looking to see if my broker can get a resolution, but interested to know if mine is a one-off or there are others out there.

Normal practice as solicitors are obliged to conduct their own identity checks on applicants. My solicitors are Grindeys, I sent the same identity papers as to broker, all were fine as they did digital check so no additional certification was needed. CHAPS payment fees are charged by solicitors who transfers money to your current lender and not Atom Bank hence you can't avoid them (or blame Atom for extortionate amount).
