Yeah, BC = B22 normal bayonet size. Smaller size is SBC (Small bayonet cap) B15.
None that would be a similar price per bulb. Philips 100w equivalent are highly rated though.

is BC the same as B22? ie normal traditional bulb bayonet size, not the smaller ones?

Great deal. Bought some in September and no failures yet. Will definitely getting more, they are so much better than the old energy savers. I actually found these to be very bright, I would like some that are dimmer.

Fabulous! £1 cheaper than the last time they were on offer. I bought a few when I posted that deal and I've been very happy with them. Really good quality light, instant on and no failures. Will be replacing the last of my CCFLs with this deal. Great spot! Thx for posting.
FYI these bubs subjectively seem to be slightly brighter than 60W incandescent, though opinion was divided as to how much better (I always estimated them at about 75W). The discussion/opinions and some technical details of their performance can be found in the old deal at - http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/9w-led-bulbs-60w-equiv-5-pack-now-7-99-screwfix-2522628

No issues with voltage spikes that I'm aware of, and the shades don't adversely restrict ventilation - both failed bulbs were only about 4w so didn't generate a great deal of heat, one was in an uplight and the different make of LED bulb in its pair is over one year old.
Both were LAP, purchased from screwfix in the same order, and I think they were both of the led "filament" type. One died completely, and the other started flashing - it appeared to have several dead leds, which probably triggered protection circuits in the remainder.

CRI not stated. I wonder why?

Okay... but doesn't that mean that the only thing in common between the bulbs that failed for you and these is the brand stamped on them?

Thanks OP,
I brought 2 packs of these today and mightily impressed. Very bright, much brighter than the old style energy saving light bulbs.

Purchased two packs at Swansea Parc Tawe store.
Judging by the comments, I'm looking forward to installing them. Replacing aging CFLs across the house!
