i have had this offer 2 times and both times they did not honor it even after providing them with evidence that i had used the card and that the offer was valid on my account they just ignored it in the end and now the offer is shown again in my account

I didn't get a response but have just checked and the offer is showing again, expiring tomorrow.

From Saturday morning shop my redemption is being processed had an email just now. I might even try some others now

I checked just before I went as last time it vanished from early morning to later that day

Contacted them and 8 days later got confirmation that £5 cashback is being processed. Not there yet but at least being processed. I only wish Nationwide could sort their software glitches before rolling out this type of scheme so that things work smoothly and save us their customers from all the hassle though!

Spent over £30 in Lidl on 10 April. No cashback yet and I cannot find any form on which to ask Nationwide Simply Rewards about this. They say there is a form on the Help page but I cannot see it. Any tips?

Thanks. Yeah, I've done that. I've contacted them to query it. I had a nightmare with a previous deal they did with Reebok for £15 back on a £60+ spend. To finally get a pay out, I had to do a little photoshopping and many, many emails to prove the deal was available to me (which is was). Hope it's not the same this time around.

Works on both debit and credit cards, but the relevant card will have to be linked & ie listed on your rewards account.

Does anyone know if this works for debit cards as well as credit cards?

Just checked my emails and can see I was only offered the discount for my CC card but made the spend on my debit card, although I was quite sure I saw the offer on my simply awards account when I logged in (not there now). Made my spend at the weekend and not seen/heard anything to show for it yet :disappointed:

Just had an e-mail from Nationwide to say the cashback is pending.
The offer showed up in my offers last week, but I was on holiday (& didn't have my Nationwide card with me).
I used the card on Tuesday (18th April) to make the purchase. When I checked again, later that day the offer wasn't there.
Appears to have gone through fine though.

I spent over £30 in Lidl with my Simply Rewards registered Nationwide Visa card on April 11th and simply there's no £5 redemption reward or what ever they like to call it (or history of it). So looks like I will have to chase them....grrr

Still not showing on mine anywhere not even under offer history. Ended up doing a shop at Tesco using the coupons they sent me instead

My email from Nationwide says that the £5 off is valid until 28/4/17. I was about to buy from Lidl but am not sure now. So are people getting the acknowledgement emails having bought after the offer disappeared on their accounts?

To be fair what with the bank holiday my emailed confirming the cash back arrived after 5 business days which it states is the case on the terms and conditions, I think everyone will get the offer who had it active when they shopped, the fact it disappeared from the site has made everyone paranoid

Well I've received £3.04 cash back from a sizzling pub I've never visited but shown as another pub that I did visit which isn't even a sizzling pub. I'm a bit confused to say the least as I did make a purchase at Lidl

Email confirming the £5 will be processed arrived here too, I doubt we'd bother with the deals again if it's like this every time but thanks op you did save us £5 and although we never did manage to get that lamb we picked up a few meat reductions on the other stuff

I can see this will be fun and games nationwide are walking away saying it's visa and to contact them, for £5 I'm willing to take a bit of time to push a bit more, looks like my daughters has been put under vintage inn mind you depending on the percentage it might work out in her favour but it's wrong and it shouldn't be, it clearly is listed on her statements as Lidl and with the amount.

I just did a Lidl shop having checked this was showing on my rewards account last week and valid till 21/04/17 and afterwards just thought id check it had tracked. As others have said, all mention of it has been completely removed from the rewards site now, and under groceries there are no offers at all. I notice in my offers history under pending offers there is a transaction for Debenhams, but I never shop at Debenhams, so not sure whats up with it.

Very odd that this is no longer showing on the offers site. It was there a week or so ago!

We messed around looking for a while I think I the FAQ there was an other option and she was able to then send a message with all the details ( and a five day wait for reply !)
Can't say I'm impressed but I'll be chasing them if they don't pay, they messed my referral around when I joined from my mum it took a while but it got sorted and compensated

I've submitted an online query to ask why the offer is no longer showing. Will report back when I get a response.

It's also disappeared from my offers, which is really annoying. The Santander offers stay there until they expire.Not as hot an offer as it first appeared!

Activated the deal when it arrived last week and then went and did a shop at Lidl but purchase didn't track and now they reckon that I made a purchase at Sizzling pubs and cash back has arrived from that for £3.04

I'm guessing not - it's disappeared from all my accounts too. There's a warning about early expiry among the T&C and I guess they've pulled it early

Yes, very low stock of meat offers. I managed to get some beef (£4.99 per kilo). That will be diced and sliced and frozen.
Plenty of wine though.
Packs of geraniums (6) and large - only £4.49 per pack. May help teetotallers.

My daughter paid with her debit card and we've taken screen shots it's a pain that my debit card doesn't seem to be included but a great saving on the large amount of reduced meat I picked up.

It states at the bottom of each offer to what card (last 4 digits) or all cards (or it does on iPhone safari browser) my Lidl £5 offer is Visa debit only.

Off to Lidl now, sun is shining, freezer is about to be full of meat and £5 off! Sunday dinner is also now sorted (Fri/Sat dinner cost me £1.50 at Tesco fridged yellow sticker section) Today is a good day! :smile:

Ive just registered the visa debit card but it's not showing as an option on the offer. Only the credit card which I don't ever use anyone know if the debit card will work can't see anything that says about that on the help

So is there a voucher I need to produce, or something I need to click to activate the lidl specific offer as can't see one....or do I simply just pay with my nationwide card and that's it, await the cashback (which I'm guessing gets sent directly back to the card account)

Santander also have a similar scheme with their current account, I just noticed this yesterday. Good for a £30 Lidl spend to get 16.7% off.

Theyve done this, they also held my money for 4 days 2 yrs ago over a wknd 7 it was not a bank holiday; to much bother going through the fsa regulator & they wont let me transfer money easily usually at wknd's over 700, they give similar messages or Log me out so I have to try a few attempts; its so they can hold on to the money & get interest over the wknd 7 make it hard for me hoping I will just give up; so I usually have to do many tranfers just to get my wages away from them to an outside bank which has half decent interest rates.

Doh! Just saw this email in my inbox. Don't think I've ever used my Nationwide card for purchases, and most of the offers that have come through haven't been great. This is a scorcher though and heat added. My only disappointment was that I was going to post this as my first ever deal - having been castigated as a 'lazy leacher' (sic) and someone beat me to it.
