I know that there will be loads of these deals around now that the Easter Bunny has hopped off and we'll all be fed up with them. Haven't checked my local Aldi but seeing as its on their site I'm sure it will be a national deal.

Sadly not even that low price can compensate for the disgusting change to the recipe inflicted by Kraft.
Yes Creme Eggs always used to be sickly sweet, but at least the lush Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate shell made up for it. Krafts change to the chocolate just left it as s sickly sweet fondant, encased in a tasteless but sickly sweet brown shell.
Oh and not even content with pillaging the descent chocolate recipe, they then shrunk the size and put only 5 in a box. Do they not get the whole idea of the dozen and half dozen real egg concept?
Ice cold for me.

I thought we as a people were meant to be boycotting these and telling Kraft not to mess with our diabetes inducing institutions.
What was the point of defeating Bonaparte two centuries ago, Hitler in the last century and Juncker in the present one just to let a foreign power destroy such an important part of our nation's DNA?

Lol is this a joke?
It's suitable for vegetarians and has no sign of any alcohol. On what basis are you saying "not halal"?
I can't believe this deal is so hot. They're vile now. I can only presume the hot voters haven't tasted them recently....

One can only assume you subscribe to her outlandish hypocritical views and thus have sought offence in me comparing them to the creme egg recipe change in a light hearted way.
That actually makes you a bit of politico troll yourself you know, people in glass houses n all that :smirk:

Brain damage?
Anyone who has bought any since yankee doodle Kraft butchered them is committing treason.
So when you consider the death penalty still stands for treason as far as I'm aware I suppose anyone buying them does count as soft.
Hopefully if Mrs May gets the majority she's after we can introduce legislation to deal with those both supplying and indulging in this evil.
In fact the only thing more evil than Kraft Creme Eggs in Britain today is Lily Allen but seeing that privileged hypocrite will be leaving the country when we return a Tory government anyway we won't have to worry about her for much longer whilst Kraft Creme Eggs on the other hand....

I would have leapt at this before Kraft changed them. They used to have a lovely thick bit of chocolate at the top and bottom. My wife bought me one the other day and I couldn't even finish it; I threw half of it in the bin. Now the chocolate is not only thin, but it tastes like...well I'm not sure what but nothing like chocolate and the fondant is horrible too. I wouldn't take a box of these if they were free. Better to buy a reduced egg from one of the proper chocolate makers.

Queue the Cadbury's Cream Egg deals. Starting at 79p. Tomorrow, in Tesco 78p, Wednesday Asda 77p, Thursday Sainsbury's 76p... all the way down to 50p. That'll give us the usual few weeks of Creme Egg related deals after Easter.

I don't think they're disgusting they're decent enough just a bit watery so the fondant doesn't taste as creamy. A bit like IMO over-rated and over-priced Lindt Lindor 'truffles'.

Fwiw, whilst the recipe has changed, I still like Creme Eggs. I do feel it's time Cadbury's did a U-Turn on the whole kraft BS, make a big deal out of it, get a load of free PR and make their customers happy.

Mum gave me a Creme Egg easter egg last night (a small one which includes a Creme Egg in the box). The Creme Egg is probably disguised by the fondant - but I did feel the milk chocolate egg tasted "different", more sugary - not that distinctive smooth Cadbury taste I've known over the years.
