Indeed so works out as paying £20 for £25 worth of food and getting as well £5 Amazon voucher, so it's like paying £15 for the food

That AMEX thing seems to have an endless 'cycle' to it?, nice!.
Is that AMEX thing attached to fee paying AMEX Accounts? (or can the freebie AMEX Accounts cash in on that free £5 bonus free £money thing too?), or ..... thanx. :-)

I doubt it, see clause 2 - the cashback should work as they would never be told by Amex, but the EE code requires a voucher code to be used, and they'll be able to tell instantly.
open to being proved wrong though!

Tonight I'm having Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried rice, which I will make myself.
The advantages are many!
I know what's in it!
Nothing which comes out of a takeaway is either difficult to cook or time consuming.
I can have this cooked from scratch in less time than it would take to get to the takeaway order & get back.
It's much much cheaper as one chicken breast serves two people.
I can tweak a recipe to how I like it.
Try cooking these things, you'll never find out how easy they are until you try, and you'll never know just how great food can taste compared to the takeaway when you cook it yourself.
What's not to like?

I definitely agree with you in principal and cook rather than buying take away 99.5% of the time. But sometimes it's nice to have a break from cooking.

All credit to you. but who orders sweet and sour chicken from a takeaway? If i have a takeaway I order something that i cant put together with a simple recipe from home. I'm a pretty good cook and my curries are good, but not a patch on one from the Indian. And i wouldn't know where to start with making a keema naan!
I'm pretty sure there would be the need to make dough. and i doubt i could do that faster than the guys at Bangla deliver it to me. This also assumes everything in the recipe is in my cupboards. if i need to buy saffron and 8 other spices it isn't looking such good value. And i certainly would be disappointed if i only had half a chicken breasts worth of meat

LOL I don't mind cooking for me, but I think the guys who work in the fast food places do work pretty hard to earn their crust. A full time job doing that is certainly not my idea of fun !

Quick question for experts here: do you just need to be registered or do you actually need to be logged in to voucher codes?
How can they know what email address used if you are not logged in?

I've left for work at 6am today. Just getting home at 7pm after a long day complete with two stints on London's transport system. Kids are not in bed yet. Wife was at work from 9-4.45pm Managed to go to Tesco in my lunch hour on Wednesday so have food in fridge/cupboard. Doesn't feel like I had a 4 day week.
Will I cook tonight? No chance. Just eat with £5 amazon voucher and £5 Amex cashback means I'll pay about £15 for a meal for two.
The nice Chinese takeaway will do me a decent fresh meal. Stir fries in his open kitchen look reasonably healthy. Lots of fresh veg.
Oh I may have a glass or two of wine.

You need different recipes if they aren't as good as the ones at the restaurant they could & should be much better! keema Naan is easy, just keema in the middle of the dough then stretch it out and grill both sides. No 'Indian' restaurant uses Saffron , and many aren't even using almonds, substituting with peanuts or a mix, some are even using beef instead of lamb.
As for the amount of meat used, I think you might be surprised just how little these takeaways / restaurants actually give you.
