4k hardly makes any difference if you sit very close to your tv then may be it does. explained in specifications too

I'm thinking of returning mine, the picture isn't the clearest. My Samsung in the other room has a much clearer picture.

I was thinking LG got 4k tech specialty and it's a very hot deal here,but i was disapointed about this model after received and test it,no mention the TV turn black screen the second day i bought it then i Google about this model it's specially cheaper than others and have many complain,probably just me but compare this Hisense review I'd choose Hisense for the similar price,it's just my own experience but hopefully help someone x

no its ok I misread so it was my fault lol. I bit and bought the tv I don't really care about the apps as I'm going to be putting a kodi box into the tv for watching 4k streams and will be using an xbox one s so I should be ok shouldn't I?

yes, the software update is automatic through the network, but HDR is only supportet via USB/HDMI2 sources i.e. the inbuilt freeview/apps dont support HDR. sorry if that wasn't clear

I think they meant you will only be able to use hdr from sources that use hdmi 2.0 and from a USB stick I read it wrong myself and thought they where talking about USB update. I'm so tempted by this lol

No it's a automatic download software update. It will prompt them as soon as the TV is setup.
This will enable the HDR function and freeview play.

What is HDR? Higher dynamic range - I looked it up but didn't seem like functionality - just better colours and contrast hence better picture - not actual functionality ?

I got this TV about 6 months ago, really really impressed. It has Freeview Play on it now too following the last SW update. Cannot recommend this box enough.

how does hdr work as I see on other sites it saying it doesn't have hdr. I'm looking a new tv but want hdr for gaming etc
