No the picture posted and details in the description was £30 whilst stock was available. Certain other sizes vary in price considerably like the one you quoted... Use the links I've posted earlier in the comments or click on the "red get button". This will take you through to the door that's pictured and priced at £30.

The hollow core ones will be like any other hollow core door, cheap. But the veneered ones are very good at £30 it's a steal as they are about £120 normally.

How much can I take off on each side for this door?
For some odd reason the width of our frame to the ensuite is about 626mm :disappointed:
mayzi to loofer
16 Apr 171#18
You can't take that much off. About 10-20mm per side depending on how it's manufactured

Sounds like yours are metric sized doors. These are imperial sizes so unless you changed the frames at the same time they won't fit

The last lot of veneered internal doors I picked up at B & Q late last month had a maximum trim allowance of 6mm per edge. Decent quality for a veneered product over a chipboard core.

I've fit b & q door before, never again. They only had around 4-5mm of solid oak. Most doors have around 15-20mm. Not sure if all b & q doors are all the same but I wouldn't be surprised. Xl joinery door are good.

No, for that you will need 44mm thick door and it must come with a certificate or your extension will not be signed off by the building inspector. There are some companies who offer a 35mm fire door but this one will definitely not be suitable.
On the core and make of of these doors the majority of solid core doors will be chipboard, edge lipped with strips of oak called lippings an then over layed with a thin oak veneer. I am note sure where B and Q get their doors from but we deal with Premdor where i work and their shaker doors have a 20mm lip on the edge. I wouldn't advise taking anymore than the makers recommendations on the width but on the height it would be possible to take off more than recommended but then i would edge band the bottom using an edging strip. If you don't the bottom of the veneer will chip in time. If its a semi solid core don't even try.
Door hanging is skilled but with a bit of care it is quite easy providing of course you can use the tools required and never take too much off. Sharp chisel is essential. It takes me about one to two hours max to fit a door to existing frame including catch.
could you please tell me, what the code is? thanks
captaineeky

The trim on these doors are thin, behind trim is chipboard. So if putting up on a old house were nothing is plumb beware as you might have to plain them back to the chipboard. As someone as already pointed out this is not a standard size door (smaller width)

I've just had a look at some solid wooden doors at Screwfix, however, they too are stating that you can only trim a maximum amount of 5 mm off each side of the door. Can somebody please explain to me why, if a door is solid wood, you can't trim off more than 5 mm, as I would have thought you could trim the door down to the size that you wanted? Thank you.
matthews9479 to Sophiasky
16 Apr 171#30
the door will probably be made of pulped wood chips or similar with a 10mm trim around the edges. once the 10mm wooden trim has been cut off it will leave a rough uneven surface that will not look nice.

Thanks op I have wanted some of these for a while but in oak panelled. My friend did her whole house with them and they really have the wow factor and made her how look so much more modern. My query is would the white have that same effect ......? I'm unsure but am seriously tempted. Am I right in thinking the fab prices are just on white please ? Thanks
They have your size in the white cottage doors, also have you tried a few others in the clearance?

The B & Q veneered doors tend to have only 10mm on either side to play with, I purchased some a while ago from Wickes as most of their veneered doors have 20mm on either side. plus they quite often have offers on their doors.

Try Howdens, they often have fire doors on offer. They are the same styles as normal doors, with panels etc, but being fire doors they are made of solid wood and therefore heavier but can be trimmd back., you may need a joiner frind who has a howden account to geth them for you though, they only deal with trade customers

I need to replace some doors in my house. I removed the very old solid wooden ones. I wanted to get some of the cheaper panelled doors, however, after looking at how much you could trim off, the height of the door would have still been around 10 mm too tall. Somebody on this site then suggested to buy some solid wooden doors as they said that I could trim off as much as I wanted to then, however, I looked at some at Homebase (which the assistant said were solid wood), but when I looked at the label, it said that you could only trim off a small amount from each side? Can somebody advise me where you can actually buy solid wooden doors (not too pricey though) that can be trimmed down to the height that you want, please? Also, can you actually get solid wooden doors with 4 panels? Thank you.

be careful to check the width of the door you intend to replace before purchasing these doors, most "modern home" standard internal doors are 30" ( W ) these are 27" ( W ). This is the reason why they are so cheap.
The link is working again, just ordered 8 doors with £10 off using CLUBD86S4.
