I HAVE THE ANSWER! So i called them up and got through to a really nice lady who helped me. After taking my details and putting me on hold for a few minutes she told me in the T&C of the deal you have to be subscibed for a minimum of 12 months to get the goody bag. I did also leave a complaint with her saying about the amount of emails I'd sent and not one person could tell me that either. Finally we have an answer. I cancelled before they charged me more than £1 hence no goody bag for me and many others.

Really sh*tty company with an equally sh*tty attitude.
Glad someone got the freebie.

Couldn't agree more!! I'm going to keep on emailing them until they get the bloody point and give me my explination. I'm not accepting an apology as i basically bought this item and they're not sending it. Fair enough if i wasn't one of the 51 but that's not been mentioned once to me. I WILL annoy them :')

I can confirm the safe receipt of the "freebie" alrhugh it did cost £34.

Why did it cost you £34 can i please ask? Did you not cancel the continuation of the payments in time?
I got a snooty email back to me basically saying 'i can confirm the discontinuation of the magazine, if you wish to contact me about setting the subscription back up blah blah...' when i wanted to know where my freebie was. They just fully blanked my question.

Hello,
Unfortunately at the time of ordering there is no way to say if you are in the first 51 as we have orders coming in via phone and web and this offer was very popular so we hit the limit very quickly. As per the Terms and Conditions we can offer you 3 free issues of Grazia Magazine.
Many Thanks
Told them to forget it. Would not use this company again nor recommend them. Really unhappy with their attitude and offer of compensation.
Glad at least one of us got the offer.

That's such a joke, what a rubbish company! They should have done it till the goody bags had all gone because surely it's false advertisement to have the heading 'receive this and that for free when buying this for £1' when in reality they had sold out pretty quickly...
I got an email saying a 'free gift' had been ordered for me so I'd be mega pi$$ed if they tell me I'm not getting anything. I know it was only £1 but that's not the point.

Did you win your PayPal dispute if you don't mind me asking? Because I think everyone should since clearly none of these goodie bags are being sent. In my '28 days' email I didn't realise it said a 'free gift has been ordered for you' and this email was sent on 7th may. I wrote again last night with a screenshot of this email and also explained about this HotUKDeals thread and that no-one has received anything yet. Let's see what they get back to me with

I don't understand how NOBODY has posted on here though. You'd think surely one person from this thread would have written something if they were one of the '51'? I'm pretty sure I was one of the first and all I got was an email saying that 'within 28 days' I would be getting the goody bag! This is not on is it? :disappointed:

You would have agreed to it without knowing, in the fine print it'll say something along the lines of '4 issues of Grazia for £1 then recurring issues £33 every 6 months' or whatever it is when you proceed to buy it. Think it's best if you contact the support email on the greatmagazines website. Say you want to unsubscribe and that you want a full refund of the payment and to not get any magazines after your 4th one (this is the last one obviously included in the £1 deal).

EVERYONE: "Subscriber's Automatic Renewal Program. We will continue to renew your subscription, without interruption, until you tell us to stop. You may cancel at any time during your subscription by contacting customer service and will receive a full refund on all undelivered issues."
This means you need to either contact their customer support team or cancel your direct debit subscription from your bank or PayPal at any time.

I just read some of t&c S 'If you purchase a subscription which has a gift included, please allow up to 28 days for delivery of the gift, which is sent under separate cover from the magazine.' .. admittedly it is not clear.. I have ordered this but may contact customer services to confirm if the gift is conditional on payment of 33 pound subscription.. which may be the point where they class this as the subscription and not the 1 payment. I will share anything that I find.
