I was looking for the cheapest SPDIF TosLink optical cable I could find and came across this offer on eBay. HDMI cable + TosLink cable for less than any other UK delivered TosLink cable on its own!
Does seem to be the genuine Currys PC World (for better or worse) as after purchase the details of the seller come through as DSG Retail Ltd (owner of Curry's PC World.)
Dispatched, with a tracking number too. Woop woop!

I bought the Game hdmi cables from a deal on here but noticed it mentions 1080p max resolution so ordered 4 of these 4k cables.Nice timing as Samsung KS8000 should be delivered in a few days.Painfully slow delivery from JL.

Looks like they accidentally included a dot in between the pricing, as the store staff generally try and flog you them for £160.

Thanks OP. Pretty sure I won't need these, but useful to have I think. A victory for rational thought.

I should really have left it a couple of days after ordering before posting this deal to make sure my order got in the post. I bet I'll get an out-of-stock e-mail on Monday now!

When you do finally get your prize optical cable...... dont forget to take the teeny tiny usually clear plastic end caps off before ramming the connector into the socket and wondering why it wont snap into place.
Just sayin.

Hahahaha. Seriously, a friend did exactly that and wondered why it didn't work. When he went on about how incredibly hard it was to get the connectors into the sockets I started to suspect what the problem might be. In fairness, I totally see how it could happen!

Everyone knows that gold makes everything better, gold cables, gold optical cables, gold chocolate bars, gold finger. You name it, gold makes it better.
They wouldn't make them unless they made the product better, surely?!?
* Disclaimer: the above it total bull plop. Please don't feel the need to point out all the factual errors, I'd hope that even a clueless idiot would understand that a fibre optic cable cannot benefit from having a gold plated connector when it plugs into a plastic receptacle.

Will this hdmi cable be classed as high speed suitable for 4k

The ebay listing doesn't state the HDMI version and it's not currently listed on Currys' website...but if you see the cached version of Currys' listing from google it says it's HDMI 2.0, which makes it a very good deal just for the HDMI cable itself! Heat added!!
